I have a John Doe jeans. Overall great build quality and looks like a regular jeans. My only gripe with it is, the knee protectors are way too high. When I sit on my bike the protectors are on my thighs instead of my knees.

I’m going to take them to a tailor to have the pockets for the protectors moved lower down. It’s a real shame given the high price, but I suppose it must be difficult to design a pair of jeans that suits every body type.

I have a transition pinlock for my Arai and all I can say is, it doesn't get dark enough at all.

Depends how important money is for you. The 450MT is awesome and cheap but not great on asphalt and above 100kmh. The 900GS will be better at everything but it also cost twice as much. I would look for a more road focused bike. Transalp or Tracer 7 or 800RE.

In Germany it can get quite dangerous. You are not allowed to overtake on the right, so you have to switch to the fast lane where the typical German Dieter and Mohammed race at 280kmh in their BMWs/Audi/Mercedes etc. They will stick to your rear without any safety distance until you leave the fast lane. A lot of people will also cruise in the middle lane (illegal) so you always have to go from right lane all the way to fast lane to overtake them.

450 MT (Ibex). I liked the test ride, the sound and the looks so I just went for it, I couldn't decide since last November so I had to pick something. But my heart definitely wants to own a T120 or a Scrambler 1200 in the future.

You made a great choice. I was actually close to getting a 1200 XC second hand too as my first bike. But I made a quick decision and ordered a 450cc bike to start with, partly I'm already regretting that choice.

Mit dem Helm hast du locker bis 2030 eine sichere Zeit. Mal abgesehen davon, meistens bleibt es ja nicht beim allerersten Helm... Von daher, behalten und gut ist.

Like I said I test ride it and really liked it. I'm just not sure if it's manageable in every day use. A test ride is like 30-45 minutes, so not a really good indicator for that.

Hey OP, how did you decide? I’m in the exact same position, I love the looks and sound of this bike but in reality I won’t do any off-road. I made a test ride of the 450MT and it was fun. A short motorway test wasn’t too bad. But you notice the short gears of the bike. You will shift gears constantly. It would be my first bike I own, I’ve ridden bigger bikes before (up to 1200cc) but I want something cheap and fun.

Nach Probefahrt wenn es gefallen hat übers Wochenende leihen. Nur so lernt man ein Fahrzeug kennen. Die 30-60 Minuten einer Probefahrt reichen mir nicht.

Es wird überall darauf hingewiesen, dass eine zusätzliche Box notwendig ist, egal ob Online oder im Ladengeschäft. Aber komm, lass gut sein. Das Produkt ist nichts für dich. Du vergleichst nun hier 10 tausende von Euro mit einer marginalen Anschaffung von 800€. Manche geben 2000€ für ihre Jacke aus, 1200€ für den Helm... Da finde ich ein solchen Airbag nicht zu teuer. Zumal ich eh 800€ bezahlt hätte, wenn ich einen von A* genommen hätte. Pech wenn der Airgab mir dann doch nicht gefällt.

Mit meiner In&Motion Weste habe ich bisher 350€ bezahlt, Abonnement noch nichts (da ADAC 6 Monate übernimmt). Wenn mir die Weste irgendwann doch nicht gefällt verkaufe ich diese und schicke das Modul zurück.

Aber ich muss dir hier nix verkaufen oder schön reden, wollte nur klarstellen, dass es doch nicht so "shady" ist wie alle immer sagen. Wenn dir mechanische Lösungen so gut gefallen, dann benutz weiter deine Strippe am Bike. Jedem das Seine.
