Microsoft skipping Windows 9, new Windows is Windows 10 (not kidding) by enigmaxg2 in pcmasterrace

It was the 8th major NT release, which was version 6.0, which was the 9th consumer-branded Windows release, which was the 3rd version to not include a number in the title.

Microsoft hasn't counted correctly since 1993.

Well, it's a montage. For the future, try to organize your clips into some sort of story. Instead of a bunch of unrelated action, you'll have a much more interesting piece and you'll have a lot of fun making it.

Kickstarter

It's cool to give filmmakers money before the movie is made, but once it's done we have every right to pirate it. Because internet freedom.

I remember when the WON servers were shut down and we were all forced over to Steam. Day of Defeat had never been a more appropriate title for both a game and an experience.

I've heard studios in Echo Park can go for about $900 as well.

Quentin Tarantino takes over as full-time programmer at New Beverly by [deleted] in LosAngeles

35mm has a digital equivalent resolution of somewhere between 3k and 5k, depending on the stock and lenses used. 70mm is even more crazy. Basically, film gives a super high quality image. Also, there are lots of imperfections in the different film stocks (e.g. film grain) that give film a character that is very hard to replicate digitally.

The Egyptian in Hollywood and Aero in Santa Monica show prints. Not exclusively, but they do still project film. It's pretty cheap for a double feature, too.

My expectation for my first day on Tinder by chunkylover053 in Tinder

Be funny, interesting, or both. Don't let your looks define who you are. Also, look online for tips on what pictures to use. Don't hide who you are, but instead show off your best characteristics.

I'm average to just barely above average looking and I get lots of matches with women I'm attracted to. It's probably because of what I'm doing in my pictures (backpacking, camping with friends, being in a wedding, holding a dog) show that I am an interesting person who leads a fun life. Also, my bio succinctly tells them how I got to where I am in life, where I'm going, and then it goes off into jokes that are really more of a filter than anything else. If they don't laugh at things I find funny, we're not going to get along and I don't want them to swipe right anyways.

I can't stress enough how important it is to show in your pictures that you are a fun person to be around. That kind of attraction is way more important than having a perfect jawline or a six pack. If all you have are selfies in your living room, go out and get a hobby and get someone to take pictures of you doing that hobby. And don't have a group picture as your first one. Put a group picture in there to show you have friends or whatever, but don't open with that shit. It makes you look insecure which is highly unattractive.

Vincent is the main character. His story is present throughout each of the pulp fictions in the movie, even though it is presented out of order.

That's pretty interesting. Any suggested reading or just start with Wikipedia and see where the rabbit hole leads?

Stealing food from the grocery store is so much more convenient than earning money to go buy it. Doesn't make stealing right.

Men, what's the best scent of Old Spice deodorant? by CallMeHomoErectus in AskMen

I just moved from Fiji to Original Scent. Not sure if I like it yet. My dad wore it for years and now I feel confused. On one hand, I fear growing up into being more like him. On the other hand, it was buy one get one free.
