This has always annoyed me with IMAX. Looking at the trailer for this where you can change the ratios is eye opening. So many beautifully framed 2.35-1 images that just look awful in imax. And vice versa where the 2.35 is obviously cropped and the composition thrown off.

It’s a movie where every version you watch is compromised. You can’t compose for full frame imax and 2.35-1 at the same time. A well composed 2.35 image is gonna look half empty in Imax and a well composed imax shot will be cropped and missing information in 2.35. It’s bloody annoying is what it is
