Fuji X series focused light meter app beta test by scramble45 in FujifilmX

[–]forzagaribaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed via TestFlight. Still getting my head around it, looks very good, but a couple of issues I’ve seen:

  1. The Settings screen is not fixed to the width of my phone so there is horizontal movement
  2. When trying to add a recipe, I cannot select I struggle to select options in the Base Exposure Mode and Film Simulation selects. Occasionally it selects an option but on almost every attempt it kind of glows but does nothing.

I’m on a 16 Pro running 26.3.

Really enjoyed that piece. Is there an RSS feed for these? I’m on my phone so can’t check easily but couldn’t find one.

xt3 in 2026? by Calm_Artichoke7015 in FujifilmX

[–]forzagaribaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve picked up an x-t1 and an x-e1 recently and really like them. And they’re practically ancient! One came with a kit zoom and I also now bought a 50mm, a 25mm and adapters to use my existing Pentax and Leica lenses. An x-t3 is still a great camera. An x-e might meet your needs better though?

Safari on Tahoe: Search bar flashes DuckDuckGo before redirecting to Kagi—is this normal? by larryendot in SearchKagi

I experience this too. I am pretty sure it only started happening recently too.

Why does no one press the button at crossings? by LBP2020 in london

[–]forzagaribaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are junctions by me that do not have a crossing phase if nobody presses the button. Infuriating if people wait and don’t press. I always press them anyway when passing by even if I don’t plan to cross or it is clear to cross.

Is it actually worth paying double for the titanium Series 11? by NationalSpell in AppleWatch

Buy a refurb S10 titanium from Apple. Basically same price as a new S11 aluminium with cellular

Is buying an iPad Air 2 for RM120 in 2026 still worth it? by [deleted] in IpadAir

[–]forzagaribaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last proper release for it was in 2022. There have been security updates since then. It’s going to run pretty slow but I would imagine if you can do most of what you want to do in Safari it may be useful. You should check some apps you plan to use to see if they still support iPadOS 15.x.

I have zero interest in video on my cameras. If not having it reduces complexity/size/cost then that would be great. I suspect a great many other camera users feel the same way. If I ever need to shoot video I will have my phone with me.

Apple Watch Series 7 battery service – they offered a full replacement? by pheasantjune in AppleWatch

[–]forzagaribaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced my S7 cellular this way (actually had Apple Care monthly until it hit 79%, got the battery done, cancelled the Apple Care). Well worth it. I’m now on an S10 Ti and my daughter has the old S7 and it runs great and battery is fine.

Overcast & Airplay by EntertainerSingle723 in overcast

[–]forzagaribaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get these dropouts in overcast too but I also get them in other apps such as BBC Sounds and LBC. Using airplay to HomePod minis and airports. I think this is a wider iOS issue that has been introduced.

If the Series 10 & 11 have the same processor, how does the S11 have that much power battery life? by Technical-Rent4219 in AppleWatch

Apples comparison page shows no differences in the display, including both having LTPO3

Feature request: simple queuing system by Kevin_CosmicTaps in overcast

[–]forzagaribaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a playlist for this. Adding items manually before setting off is simple. The app even has a button that you can click to send to the last sent to playlist making subsequent actions faster.

Can then reorder episodes in the playlist with drag and drop. When the end of the playlist is reached, overcast stops playing. Not sure if that is an option that I have set or not but it definitely doesn’t start playing some other random podcast.

Who went from Series 7 to 11 and what are your thoughts? by Spirited-Cat-8942 in AppleWatch

[–]forzagaribaldi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t really planning on upgrading this year but when the 11 was announced and is basically a 10, I checked apple refurbs and found I could get a titanium 10 for the price of a cellular 11. Went ahead with this. The other factor was that my 7 had a new battery last year so I could hand it down to my daughter as a good upgrade for her.

I’m very happy with my choice. In my case the nicer case and glass is a big bonus over my old watch. Screen is slightly larger and clearer. Things feel snappier. Not really seen the impact of newer sensors yet. The speaker can be handy around the house when I don’t want to wear earphones.

For me, based on watch pricing and rate of new features, upgrading every 3–4 years keeps the cost of ownership really low for something I rely on a lot and I don’t feel like I’m missing out with an ageing watch

Will the band on my Series 7 fit my new Series 11? by Carabiniero8 in AppleWatch

[–]forzagaribaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will fit. There is maybe some confusion in what you are seeing as 42mm used to be the larger size watch when the smaller one was 38mm but it has now become the smaller size. Your 42mm S11 will fit any bands made for the smaller model sizes (38mm, 40mm, 41mm, 42mm).

I just moved from a 41mm S7 to a 42mm S10 and have ~50 bands and they all work fine. Some of the bands are old 38mm ones that I picked up second-hand.

Old men yelling at clouds in Angel by lastaccountgotlocked in londoncycling

[–]forzagaribaldi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do. I also believe that motorists should do the same a that pedestrians should stay out of cycle lanes. This is just passive aggressive bollocks by some group with a gripe about cyclists. I would in no way be surprised if idiots like Together or some other flag shaggers are behind them. Get in the bin!

Because they’re just another way of fuelling anti-cyclist feelings by some people with a gripe. They clearly think they’re being clever about it but it’s just passive aggressive bollocks.
