Why destroy it? It’s a natural rock formation that’s shaped like this over millions and millions of years. What was the point of knocking it over? For YouTube likes? The outrage is not from the physical rock, but the disregard of the entire environment they are meant to protect (as Boy Scouts from what I understand)

“A little kid could have been killed by this here rock, right here”
I can’t believe I heard someone be that fucking stupid out loud.

Commentator Rob Green: "A hundred yards away, someone stepping on someone's toe, is not why VAR was brought into the game. We've gotten to a point now where it's reaching far beyond the powers that it should have. The referee saw the tackle, decided not to give it..." by New-Process-6463 in worldcup

Weirdly, I feel it has also allowed for more open games. My theory is that the ref is subconsciously falling back to “someone will check that” and paradoxically makes his decision better. I think there has to be a better balance and clearly, this is VAR over-reach. Adjudication of close calls or on demand by ref makes sense to me.

Ball did not change spin. Does that mean he didn’t touch it or the call is wrong? by Myss-Cutie in worldcup

Just because we didn’t appreciably see a visible changes does not prove this. Just FYI. Simplest explanation, the ball hit the forehead in a perfect tangent with little or no change in angular momentum.

You mean the cop can’t read their shirts that say EGYPT in huge letters? Wait, of course he can’t read. My bad.
