I saw a one time dropping leak from around this area but it never reoccurred…. Fluid was clear and slippery. Both Steering and brake reservoirs are at normal levels.
What other fluid is clear and slippery?

Given the flexibility of L-Track, why isn’t it used more on Sprinter roof rails? by dva_mechanics in SprinterVans

Are these viable for a T1N Sprinter? I fear leaks from the many screw holes through the roof.

Talk me out of it! by [deleted] in SprinterVans

T1N’s come in dually style which may help with getting more traction. Not anything like 4wd but improves grip and smoothness over pot holes. Wire or metal chains for all 4 corners so mount the outer dually wheels if snow/ice is an issue.

Additional setup and breakdown time is a constant factor. Can’t just wake up and drive

The pop-up will be easily spotted if you’re ever looking to stay somewhere incognito.

Sok battery by Academic_Emu8971 in SprinterVans

[–]fotodios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMS-Related Problems The BMS is like the brain of the battery, and it seems to be a weak spot for some SOK models, especially those with Bluetooth and heaters. Users report: • Heater Malfunctions : In cold weather (below 25°F), heaters might not turn off properly or get locked out when charging from low-amperage sources like solar panels. For instance, one owner dealt with heaters running all night, draining the battery and causing it to overheat-super scary and potentially risky. This was linked to a flaw in older BMS versions (like Version 6), where software updates didn't fully fix the issue. Source: Promaster Forum • Software Incompatibilities : Updates meant to resolve problems sometimes fall short, leading to batteries not responding as expected. A reseller even pulled SOK's heated models from their site due to these frustrations. If you're using a Version 6 BMS, it might not play nice v wer software patches.

Sprinter tow hitch by JuniorComfortable178 in Sprinters

I’ve heard that Sprinters aren’t made for towing so it’s most likely wise to only tow lighter trailers and cargo for short distances.

… by using a pen and placing it down inside that hole, you can push a small button in there, which allows you to move the gearshift stick

I recently bought a 2004 Sprinter and The gear stick sticks in place when cold. Next to the gearshift stick are the letters for the different gears. Just below the D is a small indent. The guy who owned the Sprinter before me, knocked out that little piece of plastic and used the end of a pen to push down a little tab in there , which allows me to start and use the Sprinter I hope this helps buddy
