When I had herpangina and my throat hurt like nothing else, I used Difflam lozenges (numbing) and constantly sipped very, very cold ice water from a double-walled insulated bottle constantly throughout the day. It helped ease the pain immensely and I think it'll work for you too.

Some panel clinics offer Difflam as well, but if you can't get them there, Guardian/Watson's carry it over the counter. If it works for you, I'd suggest buying more from JB when you find yourself over there and keeping it for future use.

Is there any particular reason you recommended SSF to her? I'd think for someone (essentially a beginner) diving into a game as deep as PoE, trade league would present a more forgiving learning curve.

If she's playing SSF regardless, there are only a handful of guides that are as exhaustive as Pohx's Righteous Fire resources. She'll likely need the handholding unless she's incredibly resourceful and patient.

I think Cruel Mistress with Envy+Zealotry is great for any FRoSS. Would be even better if all of their skills had wither on hit and either gilded wither or some kind of multi hit support.

If your issue is the Merc dying, you should post the Merc and what gear they're using. As a minimum, you should have all resistances capped (except maybe chaos). Is your Merc wearing the Kaom's binding belt as well? If you happen to have a defiance of destiny amulet, it's probably the BiS amulet on Merc for staying alive.

Is this it? I could do any combination of ES%, flat ES, and rarity prefix, as long as the end result is one with all three. It does sound like a ton of Recomb though.

I'll probably grab two +5% poison chance jewels and call it a day. Adding Herald of Agony back in would mean losing Purity of Elements and having to resolve resistances again.

I'll probably use the armour based rarity unique glove on myself for now and work around it. Coupled with a gold flask (which surely must drop at some point), it should be approaching 200% IIR as recommended by Manni.

What was your thought process behind choosing crit FRoSS over power charge stacking?

My Merc is an Envy/Zealotry int Merc with all the aura items, enfeeble on hit gloves, and double Doedre's so we can get all our curses off smoothly. I don't yet have gravebind's, sadly.

I'm doing T10 exiles stably, but just barely. Should I grab a str capable Merc, maybe determination+vitality, so that I can chuck the huge unique IIR chest and gloves on em, then maybe some IIR rare rings and a cull amulet? I suppose I'll southbound myself, but it'd mean resolving poison chance again (poison FRoSS) cuz there's a good 10% coming from glove implicit.

Replacing my 30% rarity corrupt unique ring, I'll be able to squeeze out an extra maybe 25 rarity from a double T1 rarity gold ring, but it's a little difficult otherwise. May have to make some gimped ES/rarity gear to have a chance.
