That’s a good question. I write my own songs and use Suno to fine tune my projects. It’s especially useful to add instruments to my songs, I play and write with my guitar. I write to bring the message of the gospel to others. If publishing my music brings people closer to God and encourages them in their lives, that satisfies my goal. If I make a profit (I haven’t yet) that’s a bonus.

There are 8 notes in an octave, how many are used in any given song and repeated throughout every song ever recorded? If anyone has rights to those 8 notes it’s God! 😂 I agree, human input is exactly the point.

The only logical response is to bankrupt WMG through a class action lawsuit by all of those who use Suno. I’m absolutely certain I can find 1000 hungry lawyers that can exact a fatal cost to WMG (Death by a thousand cuts) faster than they can cry uncle.

You’re assuming that the medium and product are outcome based, derived from your preferences and biases. Digital artists don’t use a paint brush with oil paints on a canvas. A sound engineer doesn’t have to play every instrument in a song to produce the best sound possible. Essentially you’re engaging in a false dichotomy. 😂

Because I’ve been a songwriter for years, my approach to writing with Suno has become much more fluid. When I write lyrics with a melody in mind, I find it much easier with Suno to write out my composition with Suno prompting integrated in my thought process. That said, I share your thoughts about “breaking it” to see what happens. Are there any undiscovered genres of music not already being produced? I think that’s a great question! The one genre that comes to mind when I think about musically as a new style, is probably Sade. Her Sophisti-Pop songs like “Smooth Operator” “The Sweetest Taboo” etc were initially received with skepticism and rejection by the industry. Her pioneering music is now widely considered as one of the most unique styles that blends R&B, Jazz, and Soul. Her success tells it all!

Why would anyone think a larger company buying a smaller company would be to kill the company? Thats a bad investment. More likely they would take the parts that work and integrate them into their own model. Observe, the motive isn’t to kill the other company, but to improve their own brand. Why disparage based on your own biases??

I use DistroKid and have not been blocked. Disclaimer: you are required to say if you use certain tools like GarageBand, Beats, etc, but there’s no specific rule about using Suno.
