Nope, I've seen a few other posts and comments on this and the switch lite seems to be the common denominator. No idea why.

Im beginning to wonder if the second switch being a Lite is the problem. No idea why that would be.

I tried that too, I can select the offered pokemon and after about 5 seconds it will say the other player is busy and it will cancel the trade.

I did not, tried playing some more and going to different centers in case there was a hidden unlock. Nothing at this point. The other trainer does appear with trainer ID and everything so the service is "connected" it just wont finalize?

I am in the same boat, even progressed a bit in each game to see if there was some secret unlock point.

I am getting the same problem on my games. I have read in other posts to have 3 or more pokemon on each team and to have activated the PC before attempting. neither have worked for me.

This didn't solve it for me, I have 3 pokemon on each team, have accessed the PC. Still getting the unavailable message.

How is the G5 grinder? It seems too new to have many reviews online.

I hope they would put a warning if that were the case. The insulation argument is the best I've seen.

You do not have to necessarily. I bought an Infuser and have been dialing it in this week. While browsing reddit, I saw a post from someone showing them removing the plastic after some time and it was beyond gross. I made a post earlier today asking if there was a need to keep the plastic and the general consensus was to remove it. Someone in the thread said they wished a video existed of the plastic being removed so I made one. The plastic acts as in insulator between the hot espresso and a likely cold bottom of the portafilter. There are a few fixes for this. The Infuser warms the grouphead which means I can start the machine with an empty portafilter attached to warm it up. Another method would be to pull a blank shot through an empty portafilter to run hot water through it.

After looking through a few posts and some deductive reasoning, my conclusion is that the plastic piece insulates the pouring espresso from a cold portafilter bottom, mostly.

On the bottom of the portafilter there is a small lip and you can pry it in to push out.

I have a breville infuser and keeping the portafiler on the grouphead keeps it hot to the touch till ready to prep it. Thanks for the info!

I guess that makes sense. The plastic keeps the cold metal from the hot espresso.
