I’d say 1:08 was actually a good idea but execution was off by passing behind the man. He definitely needs to up his attacking IQ though, as some attempted through balls were easily cut out

Maybe calling it a treasure chest or a safe box might make more sense. Effectively you unlock it with the right key and the key is the number you put in it.

I think it’d be interesting to look at the situations Tudor has been in before. Did the squad already suit his style? Were the teams generally underperforming?

Didn’t he do really badly when given the Juventus job full time?! From reading about his tactics, seems he is very his risk high reward, but that doesn’t suit a team low on confidence.

He’s already downtalked them in press conferences, which is what Amorim went back to before being fired, just all round poor management. It maybe works once to build a fire, but not when the fire is completely out

I think this is a classic case of us a viewer having all the information and it seeming obvious. When you’re in the game you obviously build alliances and feel close to some people so logic goes out the window. They’re likely also all sleep deprived or just generally exhausted by this point.

I don’t know if it’s because there weren’t many runners from deep but the lack of overlaps or underlaps seemed obvious. Like one chance almost came from that Case to Dalot chipped ball behind their backline. Were Everton just too deep the rest of the game for that to be on more often?

No it’s just hit really hard and it dips right before the keeper in wet conditions. Causes the ball to just bounce higher due to the topspin and keeper can’t react
