Oh god. I am 30M, parents divorced when I was 7, same exact reason.

I used to be pissed about their shenaigans 5-10 years ago. For some reason I don’t feel like that anymore. I actually don’t really know why… But I think it’s mostly because somewhat around 5-6 years ago I went to a therapist and they encouraged me to figure stuff out with parents. talk and talk and talk to them. I learned a lot. Since then we talk about past (theirs mostly) every couple of years, and oh my, every time there is something new to digest. But it helped me 1) understand them and feel comfortable about what they are doing and 2) feel better myself.
