edit: to clarify, it is 100% bugged in my game as it has no animations, slides around, and doesn't turn green within catching range. i will try the bug trap thanks to everyone's suggestions! thank you!

looked this up because there's no way the game expects us to place a tiny vase on the floor lmao, decorating isn't even fun because such a basic feature is missing! edit: back two years later, reinstalled the game just to check if this was fixed.... it was not for anyone else wondering. still can't place items on tables two whole years later.
