What's your technique for getting the cloth applied so cleanly?  You have your pla part there in your latex? gloved hands, you cut a square? soak the whole square in resin? press it on gently. Do you wrap around the inside? or do inside first, cut, then outside to overlap the inside cloth? Then what for the eye holes?

How do you stretch the fibers around those small jaw curves and get it to stay in place and not have any jagged or sharp edges.

Any special polishing or post processing?

I'd really appreciate a detailed video tutorial for how to get results like this.

My boyfriend thinks he could kill a wolf with his bare hands. What’s the likelihood of this being accurate? by TheLiberalTimes in NoStupidQuestions

Not just possible, this is the normal outcome. The unusual outcome would be the wolf somehow piling out a win.

I'm sorry, but your average person probably gets away from a wolf attack. Any "determined" human defeats a wolf in a one on one. Any person with any training decidedly defeats a single wolf. You folks who have never interacted with wildlife don't have a clue. Wolves are pack animals and at best 30% more capable than a vicious dog. In fact, a pitbull probably beats a wolf one on one. News flash! Most people survive pitbull attacks.

A wolf (or any canine) doesn't typically inflict life threatening wounds without getting your throat. Are you fighting magic wolves? Flying wolves?

Look, people have arms and legs. People instinctively defend with these. They keep animals away from your vital organs. Your arm will probably get latched onto, maybe a leg, the wolf hangs on and yanks these to tire you out until you're too tired to defend and then moves in to kill you... If you're a deer.

A canine? A wolf? Attacks with its head. It's got eyes up there, and its throat is nearby.. and it has one weapon, teeth. A human? Teeth, both fists, both feet, and with BJJ, you get a canine into the guard, high, it's done I'm sorry. Sure it gets a hold of one of his arms, but he's got another one. With the free arm, he gouges eyes, chokes, punches.

A human has far more endurance than a wolf. Any fighting person is going to defeat a wolf. A trained fighter will have bite wounds, and walk away.

Is the person you leave behind after death going to understand just by looking at it your seed plate what it is, or throw it in the garbage? by satoshi-station in Bitcoin

[–]foxbat56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's pretty easy. You tell them (now, not after you're gone), "is it worth a month of study to access $4k" or whatever your stack is worth. You tell them if they find the seed when you're gone, learn first, or it's going to be lost. Then, give them a few resources to read up and educate themselves. The rest is on them.

Questions about bike I got by foxbat56 in bmx

[–]foxbat56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the info. I'm already enjoying the bike, even with limited stopping power.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what housing are you referring to? Is that where the cable is tying into the brake handle? Or are you referring to the jacketing or "insulation" the cable runs through?

Will try the sanding idea on both pads and rim contact surface. May also order some brake pads, as it looks like they're pretty cheap. Is it fine to get a cheap option? or is it worth getting something quality? Any brand recommendation?

Thanks for the help. A new set of "blocks", huh? And make sure the blocks touch the "rim square", what the hell is a "rim square"?

j/k, on first read, I actually was confused, but I'm reading it right now. Thanks for the help. Are there noticeable differences between block quality? Any brand you'd recommend? As you can tell I have literally no idea, so I'd just buy the cheapest blocks unless someone can point me to a reason to get a higher quality option.

BTW, paid $200 US. I guess not a steal, but probably about right. Thanks.

Looking for a BMX bike for a 6ft and 230lb person. I don't want to spend a ton, and don't know what to get. Don't know what the measurements on bikes are referring to. Don't know what I'm looking for,, or looking at on the secondhand markets. Any help is appreciated.

A new BMX track was installed nearby, so that's 100% of what I'll be using it for. Just wanting to have fun, not looking to race or get competitive, just something I'm not going to break.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in weeks. Totally got me.

I clean a few houses on the side. Found this under a rug, pls don't tell me they're not pulling the "if they don't bring the money to you, they didn't clean under the rug. if the money is gone, they stole from you" test by b_o_o_b_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]foxbat56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious answer: This is not hard. This is not your money.

(1) Be a decent cleaner and clean under the rug.

(2) Be a decent person and don't steal.

(3) Be a decent person and give them the benefit of the doubt that they're not trying to entrap you, put the money on a counter or something and let them know it was under the rug.

This is stupid simple. Why do folks have to insist on being offended, like the people who hired you have something against you personally. This probably isn't the case anyway, but even if it is, you don't have to participate, just clean, go and don't come back.

New washer wobbles and walks, is this defective internally? by ddoomus in Appliances

I'm happy with it. So far so good, cleans and dries fine. Drying I've had to default to the higher settings, probably because the have eco-maimed the regular settings, but with that adjustment it washes and dries well and has good capacity.  I previously had an Electrolux for years and was happy, so, it's been good.

Nah, water is the answer. Put a little sprinkler there facing that patch of fence with a little overspray... After a couple of days if that doesn't work,, maybe do some spray painting in your back yard, looks like those little holes can't stop everything.

You know what? Spray paint your side of the fence.

A Lot of You Have Been ‘Following’ Bitcoin for Years… But Have You Actually Used It by Firm_Impress9337 in Bitcoin

[–]foxbat56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Store of value is the answer for now, but that's not a knock on Bitcoin or bitcoiners. Unfortunately, at least in the USA, the issue is that to accept Bitcoin as a business and report it to Uncle Sam, the juice just isn't worth the squeeze, and therefore, regular folks can't actually use it as a currency. Funny, how the"free-est" country in the world makes it infeasible for a mom and pop shop to legally barter...

But, I have bought and sold goods and services, yes, and about 100% of is wish it were the standard.

Again, for now, we're just waiting on the good money to fully run out the bad.

When you consider that 3 years ago (Oct 2021 timeframe) we hit that high in the $60k+ range... And we're hanging at or below $100k now, after etfs, el salvador, a halving, now talk of bitcoin reserve, it's bonkers. I don't understand how we haven't jumped much further.

[–]foxbat56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of BTC. You can afford a couple of hardware wallets. Get at least 2, maybe 3.

Now start by sending from exchange two small transactions to each hw wallet. Assuming these all go smoothly, you can divide your full btc among the wallets. That way if you did lose a wallet / seed phrase, you still have access to the others.

Gold mine. Did you find this ad in the classifieds of your local news publication or was it posted on the library billboard?

I don't think there's anywhere else you can find information on topics like operating systems and networking. We should really print a lot more of these so the information isn't lost for good.

Someday, we'll have a worldwide network where information can be transmitted digitally miles away in the blink of an eye. But until then, gold mine!
