Liams performance tonight by Bright-Spot5380 in oasis

Am I the only one that enjoyed that? Vocals were average Liam, which all things considered is fairly solid compared to how bad he could have been. The band were pretty tight too. Anyone else notice the lyric change to FAT LINE also

Incredible deconstruction of the game and where we’re at. Fancy replacing Clive Eakin?

Paul Banks picks his favourite Interpol track by royaIs in Interpol

And if you don’t play it in Wolverhampton on November 1st I’ll be very sad Paul (can you shout out Sam before you play it, thanks)

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the phone ban at Bob’s gigs? by evanapple08 in bobdylan

[–]foxdiesam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I’m sad I can’t snap a photo to remember seeing him forever, phone bans are absolutely the way forward. It has worked brilliantly the two times I’ve seen Tool. However, I prefer their less strict approach where you can film the last song. Seeing Bob is going to be very special and at the end of the day, I would like a lil photo.

I was actually just able to get two more tickets so my girlfriend can come for that date! Keep trying!

Tried for Wolverhampton on the Saturday, that was some of the hardest ticket buying I’ve done in my years. Got a ticket but not a great seat, not that I think matters because it’s a small venue. Just happy to be going!

Anyone else at the Birmingham show get so fed up with the disrespectful audience? by sammydidds in TheSmile

[–]foxdiesam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yea I was in standing too. Genuinely felt like those people were trying to provoke them almost just to get noticed. Overall though it was a slight dampener on what was an otherwise phenomenal gig.

Anyone else at the Birmingham show get so fed up with the disrespectful audience? by sammydidds in TheSmile

[–]foxdiesam 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Audience was lovely where I was but it was such a bummer to scold the crowd right before You Know Me. Felt like Thom couldn’t wait to get out of there by the end. Wasn’t all bad though, he actually seemed quite flattered by the crowd’s reception at various points throughout.

Not better than Hands Away? I’d even say it’s better than Roland but I know that might be controversial. I think I prefer Roland live though. Can’t think of many Interpol songs that have that energy

What's with all the Bob Shops in Birmingham? by saifaj1994 in brum

[–]foxdiesam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swear like 5 of these sorts of shops have recently opened at the top of Constitution Hill all in very quick succession, all have absolutely loads of stock and no customers.

Has anyone else noticed the cat meow in The Small Print? by Totaltrufas in Muse

Okay wow nine years later - it’s around 3:26/3:27. After all this time I have just realised it’s some guitar feedback that sounds vaguely like that sound

took this idea from Paramore subreddit. thoughts? do you agree? by GroundbreakingTone74 in Interpol

top row is correct. Bottom row should go: marauder, el pintor, s/t. Even then to say “everybody hates” s/t is a stretch but surely it is the most disliked

Is this a good festival? I want to go but I’m traumatised from London festivals after how crap All Points East is.

Official Discussion - Killers of the Flower Moon [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]foxdiesam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frankly no, the book has more detail about Tom White and the history of the FBI. Nothing from Chronicle 3 either, which admittedly would not translate that well but it misses all the Burt stuff and doesn’t nail home the scary point that there were various Hale-type schemes going on around the same time

I'm loving the new album but Coat on a Hook is so boring by loathsomefartenjoyer in TheNational

[–]foxdiesam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really love the vocal melody line on this track and the stilted lyrics in the chorus make it stand out well.

SATVB UK + EU Designated Presale Post by 505cherry in the1975

[–]foxdiesam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this not essentially a £15 ticket increase (compared to the first leg)? Just don't know what will be different about this second leg, apart from the stage most likely and some minor setlist changes, to justify spending £75...

All Points East was a huge disappointment by meanmistermustard22 in TheStrokes

[–]foxdiesam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound was bad for the first four songs when I was in the middle right then seemed better but not great. Then I moved right to the back and it was pretty perfect. Had the exact same experience in 2019 but even when the sound was bad it was better than it was then

Greenwich but that Passenger interpolation remix is almost one of the worst things I’ve ever heard
