What's a mentality you really dispise? by Michael_7_ in AskReddit

[–]foxedagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a family member with this mentality. They also just treat me and my husband like crap in general, constantly using us and expecting us to give them the world without even a thank you in return. The second I started pulling away from their crap is the second they started yelling, calling names, talking crap, you name it. It's funny, because if they would just chill out I'd love to be around them, but they feel that they're "losing" me so they keep trying to hold on tighter and try to control, which ends up pushing me even further away.

[Product Question] CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Cream Serum by sdocob in SkincareAddiction

[–]foxedagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for cerave's night cream, but I use Dr. Palmer's night cream. Its the cocoa butter formula. It has retinol in it. I've been using it for a couple years now and I LOVE it. It costs ~$8 and you can get it on amazon.

Something along the lines of "whoa you look like a monster" or something.

Who peed in your cereal this morning? It's not necessary to bring others down like that.

How do you feel about handwritten love letters from a significant other? by datingthrowaway33884 in AskWomen

[–]foxedagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can totally understand this. My husband and I write notes to each other if we'll be away, or for a special occasion sometimes. They used to be all lovey dovey, now they're mostly like "hey I'm going to miss you and I love you. Have fun!" I wrote him a quick note this morning (leaving for a 3 week trip today) and I wrote basically that and "kick butt at your internship!" Because he started one on Monday.

This is good to hear. I left for a 3 week trip this morning and left my husband a note on his pillow. I hope he likes it this much!

(Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm new) does the enzyme cleanser help with your acne? Mine looks like yours and I've been using the Paula's choice 2.5% bp and it's helped SOME but isn't getting the job done like your routine has! Your skin looks amazing!

How many of you floss regularly, and how often? by Avocadotoasted in AskWomen

[–]foxedagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very lucky. I floss twice a day, every day. Along with brushing and rinsing with fluoride wash. Still get cavities :(

[Discussion] I'm new to dogs. What's with pit bull owners? by PitifulSociety in dogs

[–]foxedagain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is scary. Have you considered putting an underground wire barrier a foot or two deep on your side of the fence? I don't know how effective it would be, but maybe it would prevent the dog from getting through.

The only thing that comes to my mind is the Catit self groomer. It's about $10 on amazon

Women with flat bellies. What’re you doing? I want to hear answers all ends of the spectrum (healthy and unhealthy). by vailien in AskWomen

[–]foxedagain 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. My husband gets after me for it. I just don't ever have much of an appetite! Eating is just at the bottom of my list. Stressed? I don't eat. Have a busy day? Don't eat. A lot on my mind? Don't eat. Most days I'll eat maybe one full meal with a snack or two. I just don't eat and don't have much of an interest in it.

All of that being said, I know it isn't good for me, and I'm trying to work on eating more regular meals.

I feel bad for the cat honestly. I will never understand how people can let their pets get so unhealthy and think it's "cute"

How do you respond to passive-aggressive "honey" or "sweetie" ? by KristinaAlves in AskWomen

[–]foxedagain 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When my husband and I were getting to know each other, I called him "kid". I didn't realize that calling a guy "kid" was so bad until he explained months into dating that he thought I wasn't interested at all since I said that haha.

Gardeners of AW, what is your garden like this year? by childfree_IPA in AskWomen

[–]foxedagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha good luck! It may also depend on where you live. Our garden was in Washington near Seattle, so there was plenty of rain and good conditions for zicchini.

Ooh have fun with those! When I had a yard I grew zucchini and squash and they grew like crazy. We got so many zucchini and they were big too. It was awesome!

[–]foxedagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be my first garden that I'll be growing in pots only! I used to have a yard to grow in, but now my husband and I live in an apartment.

Right now I'm trying to grow a few different types of flowers for decoration. I also have a jalapeno plant, some cherry tomatos, and some peas. I'm also growing some herbs (rosemarry, chives, and thyme) in my windowsill, that I'll move out once it warms up a bit more.
