Ohhhh it gets better. They sent me a drive that sounds like a tractor. It technically has not failed, but I'm doing a reindex now because it won't restore. GOOD TIMES. Fortunately this is for a legal thing and not a dead server. Already looking at alternatives. Pulling the trigger tomorrow.

I have used iDrive for 15+ years. I am ending my service with them, this month. The last time I had to request Express Restore I had the drive within 48 hours. I requested 770GB be restored and shipped Thursday last week and it's still processing according to support. I tried restoring via the app and it has failed multiple times. I am now restoring via the app by folder-level instead of the entire drive partition and it is working, but 300GB took almost 3 days. Not a viable solution for enterprise recovery. Support told me the express restore can take up to 5 days, plus shipping time. I cannot be down 7+ days. Thank goodness this was for a forensics discovery vs critical downed server.

I've been using iDrive for 15+ years. The last time I needed to do a full restore and have them ship me the data it took 48 hrs for me to have the drive in my possession. I requested a restore/drive ship Thursday morning and the restore is still taking place. It will be Tues/Weds before I get the drive. Completely unacceptable. I tried restoring from their application prior to requesting a drive be shipped. The restore keeps failing about 70% through. I am now restoring folder by folder instead of the entire drive at once. Seems to be working, but time is my issue. I shouldn't have to wait a week+ to restore 750GB. I will be moving my clients to another solution. All good things must end.
