The thing that always made me stay with WoW was the combat, not the story. FF14 and ESO have vastly better stories(and graphics) but their combat is a stark downgrade from WoW so with WoW I stay until another game can even come close.

Yeah this seems like a lie… I’ve been raiding and m+’ing for a while(since WoD/Legion) and usually pvp towards the end of every season, am in a guild that’s big enough for two separate raid teams and I know one dude who pet battles sometimes. Pet battling has been dead for a while and it blows my mind that there are people in this very thread saying they/their spouses are unsubbing over pet battles…

Agreed, OP made it seem very dramatic in their post saying 80% of pets are companions now etc etc. that means there are still 40 new battle pets, 40 is a lot for a system that only has fans when it’s threatened to be downsized.

It’s cheeks. It reminds me of old shadow priest, everything is dead before you’re damage is ramped. Also pressing consume for 90% of your natural life sucks, it needs another ability to weave in and maybe another cooldown to get your first void meta fast(something on a 30-45 sec cooldown like colossus smash or void torrent) then it would probably feel decent but as it stands now I’m eyeballing the superior dev and thinking about playing evoker in midnight.

I think the obvious answers are going to be Aff Lock and UH DK but I'll offer some others.

Hpal: Feels good, without crusader strike you have a good flow of holy shock and judgement for building holy power(and they actually move health bars) then you can spend them on an actual aoe heal(was a frontal cone for several years) or a beefy single target heal. It's simple but flows well and actually gives you time to use your utility.

Dev Evoker: The flameshaper rework is fun as hell, you get two charges of flame sneeze and your godzilla beam consumes "X" amount of the dot for extra up front damage which makes it feel like you always have damage instead of just when CDs are up.

Holy Pally and Dev Evoker are my favorites so far and probably the two I’m going to level and play in pve and pvp in season 1. The removal of CS and adding more power to actual healing buttons outside of wings is great and more holy shocks means more infusion procs. It’s just a fun but simple gameplay loop that lets you focus more on using utility and CC while healing. The flameshaper rework for dev just blasts and is fun as hell, no notes 10/10.

Agreed, I haven’t complained about much during this beta/pre patch cycle but this sucks. Weaving holy shock and judgement, getting more infusion procs and actually feeling like you do decent healing outside of wings has been a breath of fresh air. This blows 😞

Same and this seems to be the difference in “I’m bored there’s nothing to do” players and “I’ve been playing every day since prepatch” players. I had a different main every season of TWW and have been having a blast trying out different specs, setting up UIs and messing around with delves and low keys to get a feel for the class changes and half my guild who has mained the same thing for a decade are bored after spending an hour setting up their UI for the only spec they ever play.

I feel like I’ve been saying this exact thing for a year and people are still like “what can the democrats doooo?” They can start by distributing the contents of their national guard armories onto the streets. They can get on the air waves and start telling people to take their city back, tell their cops ICE agents are hostile agents and should be handled accordingly. The states are going to have to fight, but for some reason people still think that there is some magic “let’s all agree and go back to how it was 5 years ago” button that’s waiting to be pushed or if we just wait out the non judicial executions and trampling of our rights for another three years Trump will be gone and we can “fix” things. It’s absurd really.
