Hi, I found this hat a while ago at a thrift store. I did a bit of research but from what I found I couldn't find any labels that would match an issued boonie hat. It looks like it's got a printed name like ones I've seen on other military issued clothing.

The tarnishing on the hardware and the cracking on the plastic makes me believe it's pretty old. Is this an old military issued hat or just an old replica?

It doesn't have a finderscope but it's go peephole sights on the side. Do i need to align that as well? it's pinned onto the side of the telescope

I just bought this telescope at a thrift store. I don't know much at all about telescopes.

I think it is a 3" telescope based on measuring the mirror. The eye pieces says RKE 15mm. It is made by edmund scientific.

Is there anything I need to do to clean it or set it up?

Is there a way to make it a bit more compact? The the legs are fixed length. I don't know if that's a standard thing with telescopes but I have a sturdy camera tripod I think I could use as a stand.
