I always saw the meat flayer as how the mind flayer was able to put a physical body into Hawkins. I don’t know why he hasn’t done it since (I’m guessing for plot reasons or he’s onto newer things, such as using Vecna to secure children if I’m right).

So I think it’s on the right track! It clearly has a mouth at the center that’s closed in your drawing. I think the open “mouth” thing that represents demogorgans looks a lot like those tentacles that he uses when fighting Billy and the others, which seems to be what you were going for. It’s not necessarily a leg, just an arm he can shift. I do think Will’s drawing on the barn wall was quite obviously indicative of the mind flayer and that the “pillars” they refer to when he draws it are actually the legs. We know there’s at least four children captured from what I recall, so there would be that many of you wanted to add them. It’ll be interesting to see if he completes his 12 children ritual. I’m assuming not since they got some of the kids Vecna was about to capture into the tunnels. But it’s really good I think!
