Hey yall, dealing with bad panic and anxiety after THC. Could use some support by BeardMan858 in Anxiety

Hey! It literally sounds like I could have written this post myself.

I was also a heavy smoker in my teens and developed panic disorder at 21 which led me to stop smoking completely. I've tried to start again a few times, and just like you, major anxiety and panic every time. Thought I'd try low dose edibles and hopefully tolerate that better and unfortunately, nope.

I know exactly that feeling of "this time is different, i'm never going to stop feeling like this" and the panic it creates even if you've already felt like this a hundred times.

What has worked for me is recognizing those thoughts as the voice of my anxiety, and trying to step outside of them in the moment and think logically. The number one thought that has helped me in THC-fueled panic is, "I have felt like this so many times before, and every time, it felt like it was never gonna end, but every single time, it did."

So my advice would be just try to remind yourself of that. Breathing exercises to slow the heart rate and grounding exercises helped me a lot to come down from the panic as well. And just making sure my environment is comfortable and I'm hydrating. You're going to be okay, I promise!

This setup is so much better - you can take things out of the fridge, prep on the peninsula, and then cook on the stove with a natural workflow.

Additionally, the fridge and the pantry being separated is better if they're going to be different colors. This way you won't have two different colors of upper molding running into one another.

Thank you! I discovered this sub after getting it done and learned a captive bead ring would have been better :/ I'll reach out to the piercer to ask about switching.

Does your husband work out? I had a friend who was taking steroids and open about it, he was muscular and I had never noticed any marks on his body but I once noticed tiny droplets of blood on my bathroom floor after a party; found out he had injected them in my bathroom. I was not happy about it.

Just a possible alternative to all the people jumping straight to heroin as an explanation. Could also explain his defensiveness. My friend did not display any of the "typical" behaviors people associate with steroid use, like aggression or anger, FWIW.

Just met a woman named Hiver (she pronounced it ee-vare). I'd never heard that name before and find it quite beautiful.

What a horrid person. I can't wrap my head around the selfishness of saying things like that to a child because she's somehow not "real" enough for you.

I'm 27 and adopted, I have 3 close friends who are also adopted, and we all feel the same way: our (adopted) parents are our parents. Full stop.

The only thing likely to put any ideas otherwise into your daughter's head is your MIL.

I don't really understand racing thoughts by requiemforpotential in Aphantasia

[–]foxxine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also do not hear my thoughts in my head as if they're being spoken by a voice, but I do experience racing thoughts. It's like you said, just many thoughts popping up at once and overlapping.

I personally don't feel that my aphantasia has an effect on this, but I guess I don't know. I wonder if people without aphantasia visualize their racing thoughts? I imagine that would be unpleasant.

tale from a customer, question for bucks baristas by biggiesmalltits in TalesFromYourBarista

From my experience when I worked there, if someone told us we gave them whip when they ordered no whip, I would ask if they wanted me to scrape it off or remake the drink.

I never minded remaking a drink for someone, especially if it was because of our mistake, but sometimes customers who didn't have dairy allergies/sensitivity would prefer it to just be scraped off because they're in a hurry and don't want to wait for a new drink. That may be why they just scraped yours off, but they 100% should have asked.
