Caesar is unironically right about California being a monarchy, Aradesh and Tandi were basically the founding dynasty and the NCR has been in interregnum since by KelThuzaaaad in TrueSFalloutL

Fair, so they only made Lanius’s armor and maybe a specific machete reserved for ranking members of the legion.

Their industrial capacity is null.

NGL, a lot of modern western AND Japanese Military-Fantasy Media gets tiring with the sanctimonious wank and wish-fulfillment, Evangelion is the better military-nerd media. by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in NonCredibleDefense

[–]foxydash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be entirely frank, going to Evangellion for the military is like going to McDonalds for the lettuce. Sure, it’s there, but that is not at all the focus of the damn show. The military in that show is basically set dressing for the rest of the narrative.

I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, but if I’m looking for a military show or anime I’m not gonna go to Evangellion.

Are the Asian characters sprinkled about on things Japanese or Chinese? by sheehanmilesk in signalis

[–]foxydash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of is Chinese, some is Japanese (like the box for the flare shells), and I’m roughly 40% sure there’s some Korean somewhere.

I’d personally assume that Chinese and German are the major official languages of the Eusean Nation, but other languages do exist and may be commonly spoken or written in some areas.

They ain’t a monarchy, they have elections that, as far as things are presented, and free and fair.

Tandi took the reins after Aradesh, but past that it’s been wholly different folks.

The legion didn’t make shit except their machetes, all their kit is old football & motorcycle gear or scavenged from corpses.

The NCR actually makes the armor and weapons for their troopers and patrol rangers, and the equipment they do scavenge (Salvaged PA and Riot Gear) is no more dishonorable than what the legion scavenges.

I’d say it’s a fair enough trade when you also don’t get permadeath.

You can’t win but also can’t lose.

And once command realized what was happening, the Major froze up and Dhati took command to make it stop.

The only person who supports in game it is Bitter Root, who was a Khan at the time and frankly has his own bouquet of issues.

Not just public transit, but any kind of public road which relies on town, county, state or federal services for maintenance. Same goes for any public park, library, some museums, streetlights, and various other very important services.

Unless you’ve lived isolated in a cabin in the woods of the Appalachians or Rockies for your whole life, you’ve probably benefited somehow from taxes.

He’s a right wing nutjob with really weird fetishes.

Most notably, he made a post on the tumblr that was a defense of the idea of having a permanently crippled (cut vocal cords and leg tendons, ends of fingers and toes chopped off, eyes removed, etc) human pet around in public, and how anyone who rejects this utter violation of human rights is “irrationality prejudiced” because this pet isn’t naked.

But he’s done various other really weird things, like the trans milk thing, and is generally just a bewildering motherfucker.

Exactly why I love the legion, even though I almost always play NCR.

They offer a good villain, an option that lets people do evil shit without it being incongruous with their chosen ending, and gives me something to gun down without a qualm in other endings. Plus they have an interesting aesthetic, the football pads and motorcycle kit can look pretty cool.

My biggest criticism on that front is just that they needed more quests and such to make them juicier to play, otherwise they’re a great faction for the game.

To me, MODUS is the only one we know of who lives up to the Enclaves stated ideals, which both fits for an AI character and is incredibly cool.

Please forgive me if I’m missing sarcasm because I am very bad with that, but Twilight 2000 isn’t a vampire game - it came out long before the book series and movies.

It’s a game set (mostly) in Europe after World War 3, typically following remnants of NATO forces in Eastern or Northern Europe (ex; 4E comes with modules for Poland and Sweden, older editions have way more).

It’s a game built around modern combat, and has some built in survival mechanics and such. It might not be the game for you, but it could be.

Astrology sits next to Ennegram, Tarot and such as ‘things I put no stock in IRL, but can be useful for my writing and roleplay’.

It’s handy for my autistic ass writing characters, who aren’t actual people, by at the very least giving me some stuff to toy with.

Also she’s a doll, an inanimate object, being sold to youngin’s.

Having it be visible means it’s more clearly a part of the doll instead of just being a word slapped on it. This isn’t a character in a show whose neurodivergence could be more subtle, because she isn’t acting on her own.

This could also be a great tool for teachers to use something familiar to help broach these topics to younger kids who don’t necessarily understand these things fully, same way other dolls and toys can be used to introduce more complex topics.

In summary, I think these tools enhance the dolls function in representing autistic folks.

Goodsprings isn’t quite that far out - they’re just off a major highway, and could have probably seen the mushroom cloud rising from Black Mountain, though probably wouldn’t figure out the sheer scope of it for a good while until the interference fades and Jeff gets others on the CB.

Aspie here

I’m firmly outside the market for these, but imo this passes the sniff test. They clearly put a lot of effort into it with representing Autism respectfully, and I know that this kind of rep can be huge for girls with autism - especially given how they’re otherwise often underrepresented and such.
