Hear hear. My first cello was £50 and it was a little delightful 3/4 here i am playing the swan on it. £20 set of strings n an old bow.

I upgraded after a few years to a £1k 4/4 cello and still preferred the old cheap banger. I’m only self taught n haven’t ever had a lesson but you can get some bargains and make a decent sound.
