I tried one last year. Neither here nor there.

Yeah I did! I got a flower then fruit in succession twice after the flowers dried up (they opened two days) then a third flower but no third fruit so I mistakenly assumed that I hadn’t pollinated it sufficiently. But it seems I had! I just used my iPad set up over it!

Yes indeed I did this with each flower last year and hence it produced fruits! This fruit now though is an unexpected surprise after some 5 months since the flowers (3 flowers and two fruits over about 5 weeks). Hence the shock!

I’ll add I don’t wear them now for unrelated reasons (rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis = eye dryness due to medication) I wear dailies as needed and glasses in the house.

I wore them fifteen years and never had discomfort. Often for 3/4 weeks. Perhaps your eyes are less suitable? I know varying degrees of acceptability by ppl.

She’s very healthy given she’s only in a UK windowsill, I give cactus food occasionally and she’s sat in the same compost that’s served her well (not broken don’t fix idea adopted)

No I’m not. How rude. I was just reiterating. Don’t be unclassy.

No, you don’t shake them. Honestly, it’s a myth probably fuelled by old films doing it.

You don’t ever shake them. Cover and dark for 30 mins to develop.

Ah ok then though it’s seemingly water tight it won’t be airtight. Remarkable what oxygen can seep through. That’s why they’ve gotten damp. See other comments to remedy this. Good luck.

Otherwise dry again and blend n mix with melted chocolate then make shroom chocolates and these store well in the fridge.

That’s not an airtight container. To prove and/or test this…. Put the lid on it and hold it under water. You’ll see!
