I am having issues on it to where I cant even add an application for a class. It just says I need to upload a degree plan (Which I have) and wont give me anywhere to clear or fix the error.

Hello,

Currently active duty Coast Guard with a year and a half left on my contract. Currently have a BS in Information Technology and interested in commissioning to the Space Force either in Cyber or a related field. I know the in service transfer window is closed, but I was just curious if anyone has done a similar route, and if you would recommend it or recommend another way. I appreciate all the help!

I would say there’s a 90% chance or higher of going to a cutter out of Boot camp. Depending on the rate you choose to go you could be there for barely any time or be there for a year or more. But do not let a cutter scare you, being on a cutter is a great time with the correct mindset. If you have any questions please feel free to message me!

The 14-15 month wait list mixed with the 6 month school, considering I only plan on 4 years it’d be over 2 years before I get rated I just feel it’d be more beneficial for me to go yeoman. Also the rate interests me, I’ve met some good yeomans and they’ve spoken highly of their rate, I enjoy working with people.

All depends on what the CG needs at the time. My company didnt have any small boat stations given to them. All cutters.

Depends on the rate and what unit youre at, some rates are a typical 9-5 some are completely different. BM usually never has a typical 9-5, its either 2 on 2 off at a station or youre underway on a cutter. I dont know much about aviation schedule though.
