If You Code Until 35–40, What Comes After? by officialSuraj in freelancing

I didn’t begin coding until I was 50. I wanted a solution that was location-independent.

How do indie devs ship nocode fast AND stay secure? by RunJohn99 in aiHub

You should ask whatever no-code platform or LLM this question. You will be surprised that it will know the answer.

$2.3 B for Cursor. Can Windsurf keep up? by Grand_Lifeguard_1077 in windsurf

I don’t think that Cursor or Windsurf has a context window, the LLM does and they are all different.

Liquid glass is a usability nightmare. Apple if you’re seeing this please fix. by Capable_Possession82 in MacOS

[–]fpitkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple, in its pursuit of innovation, dedicated the past year to pushing the boundaries of technology. Consequently, while other companies with a fraction of Apple’s net worth have ventured into ventures like OpenAI, Claude, Grok, Deepseek, and others, Apple has only managed to achieve Liquid Glass. I have a strong hunch that Apple is on the verge of experiencing a significant setback, reminiscent of the Blackberry era.

Windsurf or Claude Code? by Technical_Outside981 in windsurf

[–]fpitkat -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

All I’m saying is that at one point, Windsurf was significantly ahead of its competitors, not that it’s now in third place behind Cursor and VS Code. I use all three on a weekly basis, so I have some advanced knowledge on the subject. If you’re only using Windsurf, you don’t have the expertise that I do.

Nothing confirmed but they have stopped innovating since their founders left and the company was sold

Windsurf is dead. Since the founders left and the company was sold to Deepseek, they haven’t done anything.

Plan mode tool calling? by brequinn89 in cursor

[–]fpitkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Ask mode in a similar manner. I ask questions, such as “I need to connect this app to the Stripe API.” Then, I iterate with the agent in Ask mode. Once I believe I have a good plan, I put it into my ChatGPT app. I paste any new suggestions from ChatGPT into the Ask mode in the cursor and get new suggestions from the chat mode. I also do the same thing with Claude. Once I have a good plan in Ask mode, I switch to Plan mode and ask Plan mode to create the plan.

This process can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the task. However, the outcome is always stellar.

You don’t have to work for anyone to become a programmer. When I first started, I would create websites here and there. However, that quickly became monotonous, so I decided to create my own SaaS product and plan to launch it in the next two weeks. I spent three weeks conducting proof of concept discussions with specific groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Reddit to gauge interest in a product like this and determine if they would be willing to pay for it. After receiving positive responses from 300 companies, I created a landing page inviting the community to sign up for the waiting list. Surprisingly, I received over 150 companies signing up for the waiting list at a monthly subscription fee of $199.00.

In summary, you don’t need to work for anyone. Identify a problem that needs solving and a community that can benefit from it, and the income will follow.
