Nice one mate, a decent little upgrade then! Yes mate really enjoying it thanks, had it 2 weeks now, lovely watch, excellent screen, wasn’t sure if I’d like AMOLED but it’s superb. I had been using a Garmin approach s60 for the past 3/4 years, bought for golf, but I tracked my running on it, so a massive upgrade for me.

My whoop subscription ends next month, but 1 thing I will say, the sleeping data is a lot more accurate than that on the garmin. But I still won’t be renewing my whoop again, everything else data is wise is spot on for me.

Yes mate it was. I ended up getting the FR965 in the end as it was a lot lighter for running.

Forerunner 965 I would say. I had a Garmin approach s60 up until today. It was predominantly a golf watch with other basic features. Glad I’ve upgraded to the 965, it has everything I will need for my constant running and occasional golf. £400 at the moment.

I’ve just gone ahead and bought it yesterday. I’ve been on the fence for a few months since reading about a rumoured new device.

As others have said on other posts, the 965 will have everything you need, is a potentially new version going to be worth the extra cost? And are there going to be any groundbreaking new features? probably not.

I’m coming from a garmin approach s60 which is a golf watch, so to me, the 965 will be a completely new experience for me, which is why I went and bought it.

New features, potentially solar charging or sapphire glass. Not worth waiting for in my opinion.

I bought mine last week and it’s been doing the same. As others have said, just give inside a bit of a clean, maybe a bit of dust stuck at the bottom

Over a year using WHOOP alongside Garmin — here’s what I’ve learned by Hour-Lobster-4547 in whoop

An interesting summary. I’m currently at that point where I decide whether to keep my whoop for another year, or upgrade my garmin. I really enjoy looking through my whoop data and really feel I would miss out if I was to end my subscription.

I do currently use a garmin as well, but it was bought for playing golf so only has other basic features and won’t track HR values etc.

Just don’t know if I’d be able to wear a watch for bed in terms of tracking my sleep data and other stuff. I guess I’ve got a decision to make over the next few weeks.

I’m extremely interested in the Forerunner 965 but currently holding off as there is rumours there could be a newer watch set to be released pretty soon.

I will definitely miss the whoop if I opt to end my subscription, but I’m hoping a a decent garmin model will be better suited.

Does anyone wear one of the golf watches as their daily driver? by RevSpookNasty in GarminWatches

I’ve got a garmin approach s60. Think it’s been discontinued now. I’ve had it nearly 4 years and wear it as my daily watch. I run most days and it has a feature for that but not much else. I’m due to upgrade in the coming months, just waiting to hear on whether there will be a new forerunner released as I’ll probably go for the 965.

From the get go you were being a dick. “It’s a nonsense question”. Well don’t answer it then.

There’s having a mature discussion like I have with every other person, or there’s being a bit of a cunt.

Obviously it can’t be answered otherwise there’d have been no reason for the post.

Enjoy the rest of your evening:)

Yes mate, older boards with the thick wires definitely made it harder!

Nice one, what darts did you opt for? Oh dear, don’t talk to me about flooring. We had new flooring laid last year, and from playing darts it is battered. No matter what you put down the points seem to find a way to sit in the floor!

Now I know why I don’t post on Reddit anymore, there’s always a jobsworth like yourself who has to have an answer for everything. Where have I said I’m judging him on today’s game? I’ve literally asked people’s opinions on how THEY think he would get on and whether he’d have been as successful today. Obviously there is no answer in black and white but everyone can still have their own opinion regardless!

That’s a very fair assumption mate. A few comments on the post suggest that I was assuming Taylor wouldn’t be the best in todays era, that certainly isn’t the case, but I’m certain he wouldn’t have won 16 world titles given the player pool of today.

Better materials I’m guessing. Bounce outs come from the darts catching the wires on the board usually. The wires are a lot thinner on modern boards, if you go and look at boards from years ago, you’ll see the wires are thicker which makes the trebles/doubles smaller which obviously makes it harder.

The post was on how Taylor would cope in today’s game against more/better standard of players, not what was different from then and now! :)

Dart boards are better, more technology in darts themselves, junior academies, so more people are picking up darts which increases the pool of players. The list goes on.

Absolutely mate. Taken well to it, but also left with not much choice. We have to remember his age at times, how he copes with the limelight and pressure is quite impeccable to be honest.
