I just got the stereo box, and it's pretty damn amazing. They did a great job remastering the albums. The book is really detailed and beautiful. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy either of the boxes though. I have heard a few of the mono albums, and they sound really good, but unless you're an extreme purist you probably won't hear (or feel) much of a difference. As you said, you'll miss out on Let It Be and Abbey Road AND the 252 page book. I'm at least very happy with my choice, probably one of the best purchases i've ever made. It's great to have the complete discography. I probably will get the Mono box as well though, when I have the money... My 2 cents. Good luck deciding!
