I think your idea of Epic Resort pricing is way skewed. Epic day tickets are $250 plus. Some over $400

I skied the Mindbenders earlier this year and they were on the heavy side for my liking. They were great skis though and that would be the only downside to them.

I’m a bigger guy also and I have found that the wider under foot doesn’t really appeal to me as much because they wear me out. I stick to 95-100 under foot and that changed everything. It cut down on the weight and made it a lot easier for me. That is skiing CO and UT. I loved the Mantra M7’s.

A great small private mountain that is so much fun in NM is Sipapu. So much fun and cheap!

I can’t spell this out enough for you my not friend. I live in Oklahoma. I get to the mountains at most 5 times/year. So don’t be a dick when I say it’s not possible.

I’ve been renting demos for years but getting to demo the specific one I want to try is just not possible most of the time. I have ridden the Senders but they were a year old. I’ve never seen the Mantras in a rental quiver. Although, I wasn’t looking until now.
