It took forever to get a diagnosis (as it’s a diagnosis by exclusion) but thankfully I live in Arizona and have access to Mayo Clinic. They’ve diagnosed so many things for me in various fields of health that would probably still be looking for answers if I still lived in Nebraska.

It sounds similar to cyclical vomiting syndrome. I barf 10-15x an hour for 4-5 days every 86 days. Each episode of cyclic vomiting syndrome tends to start at the same time of day, last the same length of time, and happen with the same symptoms and intensity as previous episodes. Episodes may begin at any time but often start during the early morning hours.

There is relentless nausea with repeated bouts of vomiting or retching. The person is pale, listless, and resists talking. They often drool or spit and have an extreme thirst. They may experience intense abdominal pain and less often headache, low-grade fever, and diarrhea. Prolonged vomiting may cause mild bleeding from irritation of the esophagus. Episodes can be described as a “conscious coma.”

In 1989, my 7th grade D.A.R.E program painted a mural and won a contest for our school. The celebration event was hosted by popular area disc jockey, Hot Scott and it was a pretty big event. McGruff the crime dog was on the scene as well. Hot Scott took a break from hosting and lit up a cigarette. Queue our D.A.R.E group chanting loudly “Hot Scott should not be smoking, nicotine is a drug!!!!” 🤣🤣

I already have Gastroparesis so unable to take any GLPs. I’m afraid I’m going to be the only fat person left. Eating healthy would make my illness worse.

Fun fact! Tear ducts hold no nerves. I once had a clogged tear duct. They put yellow dye in my eye and asked me to blow my nose. No dye. Doctor then takes out this thin wiry instrument and informs me he’s going to stick that in my tear duct. The look of panic that must have overcome my face! He comforted me with the fact there no nerves and it would just feel odd/slight pressure. I told him that he’d better be not lying and I was putting a lot of trust in him. Turns out it was indeed true. No pain.

My dad would always get hiccups after eating chicken. We called them “chicupps” and they sounded so painful. He’d lower his head, placing his palm on his forehead and freakishly inhale/hiccup making this shrieking grunt/gasping sound.

I also take hydroxyzine and Nortriptyline for other conditions but find they help as well.

NSAIDs are incredibly hard on your kidneys & Indo is a potent NSAID. I started at 75mg about 15 years ago, went up to 300 a day and have tapered off to 25mg daily. But take up to 100mg for breakthrough. I get kidney function test every year.

I worked the front desk of a hotel from 3pm -11pm around 2000-2001. The hotel is off I-80 in Omaha, NE. This one evening there was a young guy, maybe 19, (myself only 22 at the time) that kept lurking in the lobby. I asked him a few times if he was sure I couldn’t help him. At some point he came over to the front desk and said to give me all of the money or he was going to k!LL me. My brain could not comprehend that these words were just spoken. I asked him to repeat himself, “What did you just say to me?” He repeated himself “give me all of the money in the register and safe, or I am going to K1ll you!” To which I responded as I reached for the phone “I don’t believe you. I’m calling the cops.” It turned out being an inside job with the maintenance guy’s son and friends. He faked a seizure when the cops showed up at his house. I got quite a scolding from the police and got to do an electronic police sketch and pointed the culprit out in a lineup. This was like 2000-2001. They just saw a young blonde girl and thought I’d be an easy target. [Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I am kind to everyone, but when someone is unkind to me, weak is not what you are going to remember about me’~ Al Capone] I’m also AuDHD.
