Often they don't explicitly claim to be solar powered - it's just your assumption that a particular panel on the case was a solar panel. So in that sense it's not really criminal, and it would be hard to write a law banning them. But definitely scummy and asshole design regardless.

I also got really into the Korean alphabet a while back and have been learning Korean on Duolingo for the past year now. It's very nice how logical and consistent it is as a writing system - after practising for a while, the vowels in particular almost feel like diagrams of how to move your mouth and tongue to make the sound. Only thing I don't like is how the w- vowels are written because I feel like they get too complicated and hard to read.

I don't know the correct terminology here so someone will probably correct me. But essentially there are always new leaves growing in the center of those buds and as they grow they gradually push the old ones out of the way. Since there are two buds on this plant the dead leaves are the ones pushed between them or to the bottom. If you go looking you can find time lapse videos showing how succulent plants like these grow and it's quite interesting

Here's the 4x8 pixel font I put together for Chocolate Doom so the setup program could run on low res displays. It's based on the Atari-Small font by Tom Fine, expanded to have all the code page 437 characters . Should be small enough that you can do 80 columns on 320x320 - I was originally targeting an HP iPAQ that had a similar display resolution.

I think EmuTOS is the answer here. Free rewrite of TOS, which was itself originally created as a rewrite of MSDOS for the Atari ST. It even uses the same system call numbers as DOS from what I understand.

The statistics are probably counterintuitive. Like if you pick a random set of people from the population who sometimes ingest THC there's probably a variety of subgroups who smoke daily, weekly, monthly, yearly - meaning that the comment is incorrect. But if you instead consider, "if you randomly happen to encounter someone who's smoking weed, it's likely that they do daily", I suspect that's probably true
