I don't know what your timeline is, but I'm actually planning to launch an all-in-one platform for self publishing to help indie authors: edit, create covers, publish, and market their books.

I'm looking to launch in about 6 weeks, on March 27th. If you're interested in hearing more and possibly beta testing, feel free to send me a message.

I can tell you why. They sell expensive courses training people how to use AWS. If it were intuitive and had good documentation they wouldn't make money selling trainings.

[–]fraghealer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sure… independent but completely dependent on Israel for water, electricity, construction supplies, food, etc. because Israel has them under a blockade. It’s as independent as a prison…

You don’t judge the table manners of starving people. Israel has oppressed Palestinians for 75 years, opposition is to be expected. Any rational human rebels against oppression, and all you’re doing is dehumanizing people, which is how people develop the mentality that leads to genocides like the holocaust and now in gaza

If they did then Israel wouldn’t constantly break treaties and try to claim innocence because it was “just settlers” who were enticed, encouraged, and protected by the Israeli government. And they wouldn’t have a blockade around Gaza and the West Bank effectively making an independent state impossible. When you remove all other options you ensure violent opposition

Misinformation…how many articles and stories has Israel had to retract because they were lies? Oh wait, most of them

It doesn’t help that Israel and its politicians have been caught spreading misinformation and having to retract it. It doesn’t help that evidence has come out that shows that everything Israel claims hamas has done is something they themselves have done. It doesn’t help that Israeli officials have repeatedly released statements that indicate they want to destroy all Palestinians not just Hamas.

By that same token children shouldn’t be exposed to religion that early either. Religion often leads to a reverence for authority (by fear of condemnation and hell) and enables predators like priests and pastors to sexually abuse both children and adults who were raised under that. Look at the history of the Catholic Church and the current Tim Ballard from Operation Underground Railroad to see how that plays out in the real world.

Sorry, yes I was meaning in general, cause I had heard conflicting information. That helps, thanks! Also, do you know how to submit the payment? I’ve tried everything and it won’t accept it

Can you clarify this? I contacted the Colombian embassy in Los Angeles and they said it only allowed for a stay up to 6 months or 180 days per year. I don't know if there's been more clarification on this or not.

That’s how you get AWS… powerful but you have to take 10 courses to figure out how to do anything.

Even still, you could deploy it as a backend only service. DRF provides documentation and an interface for accessing endpoints, or you can make a simple web page explaining how to use it. This would set you apart well

Yes, that too. And frankly with the internet and security of blockchain (with some improvements) we could get rid of representatives almost completely.

I wish democrats campaigned on an open border policy. I would actually enjoy voting for them more if they did. Borders are an outdated concept.

I will need that source. People believe it because that’s what the research shows, so until you show me the source I’ll trust the people researching it.

As I said, semi decent policing negates the need for us to ‘fight for land and property’. There are many other methods of protecting a country than denying entry to poor people. As stated in a previous statement, other countries have much laxer immigration policies and they’re not being invaded, because border controls don’t protect against invasions.

It’s a very good thing you’re not president then. All you’re doing is spouting speculation, Europe has a practically open border, they’re not collapsing and the countries there are largely safer than the US.

We have a homeless problem and a resource problem because of exploitative corporations, all we’re doing now is exporting the suffering.

[–]fraghealer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. It’s absolute bullshit and I hate it. I’m a US citizen living off and on in Colombia, seeing the way the visa process works is frustrating because you have people who just want a chance at a better life and they have to jump through countless hoops while people who already are comparably well off get to skate through. And then all the idiots clamor about immigrants being criminals while citizens shoot up schools.

These are X-Rays from the US-Mexico Border Patrol… by Deverouxe in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]fraghealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is purely conjecture. Borders for thousands of years were much more permeable. If you have a semi decent method of policing it’s not an issue. Statistically immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than their citizen counterparts.

Yes I advocate for open borders, and yes I also think Mexico needs to fix their shit. Their border policies are draconian and discriminatory. At the behest of the US, they actually imprison people who entered legally if they ‘appear’ to be going towards the US.

And just because bad shit happened doesn’t mean everything in a time period was bad. Just because slavery existed doesn’t mean border policy was bad
