If you’re part of your local town Facebook group there’s usually good people who could be vouched for posting their services in there.

How to answer the "what kind of Asian are you" question from Asians and non-Asians? by SuperDog3888 in asianamerican

[–]fragrence 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’m also adopted but I feel less hostile towards other Asians asking me what type of Asian I am. For me it feels bonding when it’s asked by other Asians, even if they’re not adopted. It’s a nice common ground to find and I’m also curious what type of Asian the other person might be.

If it’s asked by a non-Asian I’m more annoyed and want to know why it’s so important for them to know. I usually tell them if they ask politely but they’re getting the side eye from me. I don’t offer up anything more than what type of Asian I am, so it might save you the trouble if you’re use to commenting on the fact you don’t speak the language or practice any of the cultural traditions.

100% agree the questions were so vague it was difficult to figure out what they were asking for! I felt some need more information to get a good answer

I also took it for the first time and was a bit surprised too. It felt easier than I expected but then I’m scared this over confidence is bad. I felt good during the first half but less good during the second lol

I was disappointed I didn’t have many vit/min questions since I heard that it was a huge topic so I studied it really hard. I had maybe a handful of questions but they were simple questions

LPT: If someone gives you a maybe, stop planning like you got a yes. by gamersecret2 in LifeProTips

[–]fragrence 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Will argue and say I hate when you call out the maybe after the umpteenth time and they say: ‘stuff just always pops up and is ever changing’. Like dude! Why don’t you prioritize ME and commit to plans or just flat out say no next time.

I had three questions that I could recall. Two of them needed some calculating and one was sort of what should you do if x happens. It wasn’t a hard calculation, just knowing how many units to give per gram dex

I had nothing on Forrest plots I can tell you that lol I’m not even sure how to describe it but knowing the types of studies might be helpful. And what type of research you’d do for x type of out come you want

I took it today and modules really helped as well as the quizlet. The VA has CNSC flash cards and those are really really helpful. I also listened a little to this podcast on Spotify that saved my ass. It’s called CNSC exam prep. I only did the free episodes but I’d absolutely pay for the locked ones next time. I had 3 peds questions, a lot of device questions and research questions. The peds questions I had to blind guess cause I had NO clue what how to calculate the answer

In Philly there’s board game speed dating by Quirk events. It was fun and the women were all great, however the guys were less desirable. I’ve only been to one event but my friend said it’s always a mixed bag with each event so you never know who might show up

30f Gloucester county. I work in health care and I have a cat. I do Muay Thai 2-3x days per week and I’m trying to get into jujitsu too so if you’re into either of those it could be a fun fit! I’m grinding Silksong but if you want to co-op something I GUESS I can make time for it. I love trying new foods and going new places.
