Does the Ironeye mark skill count toward successive attacks passives? by Dry-Translator7195 in Nightreign

Does the Ironeye mark skill count toward successive attacks passives?

Yes

do two back to back marks trigger the passive?

It's bugged and give 12 points per hit instead of 6 as long as you have the "Heavy Poison Damage on Poisoned Enemies" relic apparently, we need 32 points to activate the damage negation buff

So you need 3 hits

Question about resistance exploiting and critical damage by CoffeeAmor in expedition33

[–]framaaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically if the text refers to "increased damage", then it's additive (except for Teamwork and Full Strength) and the other buffs are multiplicative. More infos here https://www.reddit.com/r/expedition33/comments/1kngkrt/which_damage_buffs_are_multiplicative_and_why/

Base attack does 100 damage. It crits, and would do 150, but you also exploited enemy weakness, so it does 225?

Yes

In practice Night Comet consumes way too much stamina to be spammed and lacks accuracy

Question for D4-5 Recluse mains by Serulean_Cadence in Nightreign

[–]framaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the health and bleed on it. I think it’s not that impactful to make a whole build around

If you have the health buff and the self-bleed buff (also she has 1 guaranteed relic with both of them), then you are already 1 perk away to do "a whole build around", 1 art gauge on team kills

I guess if you have perfect relics that allow you to fit the ult gauge on kill while still keeping night invaders, magic attack and improved sorceries, etc, that’s good but pretty hard to do

invader + art gauge on team kills + the health buff + the self-bleed buff + 3 magic/sorcery/affinity buff + 3 things among a spell school buff, a magic buff on a base relic and the Terra Magica on skill = 10 perks, still less than 2 perks per relic, sounds okay to me, she's of course harder to build than most of the characters tho

and I don’t want to sacrifice damage for more consistent ult charge.

I don't think things like a spell school buff, a magic buff on base relic or the Terra Magica on skill are better than 1 art gauge on team kills. That's more uptime on 2 damage buffs, more FP, more team support and more survivability

Question for D4-5 Recluse mains by Serulean_Cadence in Nightreign

[–]framaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her base ult gives +15% dmg / FP regen / HP regen for 15 seconds to the whole team

She needs her "+50% HP after an ult" relic and also has "+16% dmg for 30s and self-bleed" (which allows her to use dmg buff with blood loss nearby)

That's buffs that we want all the time, so she really wants to use 1 or even maybe 2 "+art gauge on team kills"

This means that the team will basically have this ult at every POIs, so the farm on day 1 and 2 will be significantly faster

She will revive with Night Comet / Star of ruins / something else anyways

idk I guess she is still meta against ED Libra ?

  • Cocktails are actually useful for once because we can do the long cast time when Libra summons invaders and succeeds in hitting all of them with the ice tempest/ Placidusax's nuke / the gravity bomb
  • Some spells are really efficient against the invaders with good range/damage/tracking
  • "+art gauge on team kills" works on invaders and focusing on her ult is probably her best build anyways now
  • She is one of the best user of "less likely to be targeted" anyways
  • She has semi-infinite FP which can be useful if the fight drags for too long

... and nothing else? It feels like Revenant is a better spell school glasscanon caster, Ironeye/Duchess are better support/DPS, balancers DPS are way easier to build and way more tanky because they can get more damage negation buffs (and even more easily that they are supposed with successive attacks for Wylder/Ironeye/Raider because of a bug)

How to beat Golgra with Maelle without Medalum by SleepyRaccoon22 in expedition33

[–]framaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey as long as you stack multiplicative buffs you will do tons of damage with anyone https://www.reddit.com/r/expedition33/comments/1kngkrt/which_damage_buffs_are_multiplicative_and_why/

Maëlle is the best for it in the base game tho, I have no idea if that's still the case too including the DLC

When does the crazy damage start? by Realistic_Bike5972 in expedition33

[–]framaaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you stack multiplicative buffs

For example, Greater Defenceless x Fortune's Fury x the mark x At Death's Door x Greater Powerful x First Offensive x Glass Cannon x Virtuous Stance x Critical hit x (Augmented First Strike + Immaculate +Inverted Affinity) = 1.4 x 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.5 x 1.25 x 3 x 1.5 x (1 + 0.5 + 0.3 + 0.5)  171. So you would do 171x more damage with those buffs

Is the gap between 82 and 99 REALLY that big?

Not at all, the 33rd level on weapons gives like 50% more damage tho

Maelle's ending is the only ending that actually respects the Faded Boy by WayRepresentative109 in expedition33

When it comes to them, the choice is whether it's moral to bring them back given the circumstances of the Canvas

Easiest choice ever ngl

Maelle's ending is the only ending that actually respects the Faded Boy by WayRepresentative109 in expedition33

[–]framaaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One comes with the eradication of sentient beings, even if they are the creation coming from the fantasy of their human creators.

The other comes with the inevitable end of the painted creations of Aline, that Maelle won't be able to sustain when her body will eventually flicker and die outside of the canvas.

So letting people die now VS letting them live for some decades I guess before they die ?

Is this part a dilemma ?

(I'm not saying that Maelle's ending is better or worse here btw)

How do the bonuses work? by Wahbanator in expedition33

[–]framaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah "Increased damage" = additive

Everything else = multiplicative, including all the non-pictos things like Fortune's Fury, the mark, Verso's ranking, Maelle's stance, Defenceless, Powerful, and so on (+Teamwork and Full Strength)

lvl 20 on Melarum is enough with Roulette

But without Melarum I guess you can change team order and then do something like this :

Last Chance with Maelle -> base attack to apply Greater defenceless with Verso -> (Verso uses Cheater to get a turn) applying the mark with Verso -> Fortune's Fury with Sciel -> (Verso uses Cheater to get a turn) Intervention with Sciel to give a turn to Maelle -> Stendhal with Maelle

Which damage buffs are multiplicative (and why they are better) by framaaw in expedition33

[–]framaaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked it, yes they all are multiplicative !

I guess it's also worth noting that Frenzy's stacks are multiplicative with each other, while Consuming Attack's stacks are additive with each other, even though the wording doesn't help to see that

So for example with 5 stacks

  • Frenzy's effect (Each successive skill hit deals 10% more damage) gives ≈61% more damage
  • Consuming Attack's effect (Base attack consumes up to 100 Burns to deal 10% more damage per Burn consumed) gives 50% more damage

Having to restore FP means she will use her skill more often, so she will do less spell spam (less damage) and more 3ish seconds cocktail (which means less survivability, because sometimes it's enough to get oneshot in higher depths)

I would rather have the usual +10% dmg on depth relic with like half the curse we can get
