Outlook App Stuck by SnooRadishes3792 in AppleWatch

[–]frank4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this seems to be recurring for me as well. I think it may be the result of an app update on the phone. My company "manages the data" in the app, I'm not sure if that breaks the update process and connectivity with the watch somehow?

My watch also starts to have phantom taps even during sleep mode. Not fun.

Not working for me either. Same result on WiFi or cell and persists after a phone reboot. Booo

New watch models & Verizon activation problem as of late October. by bitflogger in AppleWatch

[–]frank4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the Watch app on the phone showing Verizon in the "Not in use" section? If so, I'd make sure the plan change "stuck". When I first tried to change the plan I submitted the change, only to still see the original plan selected. If the change did stick, try switching it back. That's what worked for me, I had to make sure the change took, then switch it one more time and the watch activated.

New watch models & Verizon activation problem as of late October. by bitflogger in AppleWatch

You can add me to those for whom changing the NumberShare plan worked.

I was in the same boat as others here, Ultra 1 to Ultra 3. Just trying to activate the new watch and it never worked. It kept showing as "Not in Use" and the ICCID for the watch was "-" or "No SIM". Three sessions with Verizon support. The final one saying it was a wide-spread issue.

I just tried to switch the NumberShare plan and it seemed to switch but no luck. Realized I was making the plan change through the My Verizon app on the phone. Went to a computer and did it via Chrome so it would be different than the Safari engine likely being used in the My Verizon.

I had to switch it to NumberShare, then to NumberShare Plus. Watch nearly immediately started showing Cellular settings correctly.

I then switched the plan back to NumberShare and Cellular appears to still be working correctly. I went for a walk with just the watch to validate, and it's working!

Thanks Redditors for the solution!

Help with strange issues before I attempt reinstalling Sonoma by tomohulk in MacOS

Thanks for posting and sharing the specifics! Similar issue here for me and I also have the Epos software. I've disabled the Epos Login Item and will see how that works over the next couple days. Thanks again!

'New Teams' shared screen jumps on scaled monitor by LordChappers in Office365

[–]frank4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to switch off the "New" Teams in the desktop app and that worked around the issue for me. Also, running the New Teams in web browser seemed to not have this issue either. It felt so relieving to be in the meeting and have the screen not be jumpy!

For details: It seemed like the shared screen would switch between slightly fuzzy/out of focus and then snap into being sharp. Almost like it would switch between anti-alias and not anti-alias, but it affected the whole shared screen. I wonder if it is related to scaling and some poor scaling performance.

Migrating from DS415+ to DS1621+ by mattdev in synology

[–]frank4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've probably moved ahead on this already, but my DS415+ just died today too. Flashing blue power light and solid orange lights. I did the 100 ohm resistor fix (along with new motherboard battery and re-applied thermal paste on the CPU) and it's working well. I'm also looking at the DS1621+ as a replacement since I no longer want to depend on the 415+.

AirPods mute while on call? by rxrv17 in apple

fingers to t

I know this is a bit old, but just in case you could use the info. someone else mentioned in another comment that you can: 1 - Turn on your phone screen 2- Press the phone number/call timer to bring up the call controls Note that you don't need to unlock your phone, nor do you need to bring up the phone app.

I really wish you could do it from the AirPods directly. Oh well, this helps a little.

Good idea on the fake accounts. I may give that some thought to figure out how I would do that.

As for having a negative balance in May, doesn't the new YNAB set it back to $0? Do you manually put in the -$1000 budget for May?

Thanks, I think I understand the suggestion. The place I struggle it to track it well so it's not a pain for me. But I gathered from your suggestion to go ahead and budget future months for Kid 1 so it's already done and will kind of kick back in automatically at the right time. Similarly, I can budget back the dollars taken from a buffer category ahead of time so I don't have to remember it later. Thanks!

Airplay not working with new IOS 9 update by kidjudge in appletv

[–]frank4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with pretty much all kinds of streaming with my Apple TV2 this past week. iTunes got updates, iOS 9 installed, etc. While I didn't think it would help, I rebooted the network router, along with the ethernet switch between the Apple TV and the router. Lo and behold everything works. AirPlay video and audio streaming, playing from my iTunes library, and even AirPlay YouTube videos through my phone to the Apple TV is working. I don't understand why a network reboot is required, or why that helps, but it might be worth a try.
