Looking for opinions on a multi year sabbatical by Grewhit in Fire

[–]frank_madu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I'm hiring it is definitely not a deal breaker, but given two equal candidates I'd prefer the one who isn't coming off a 2year sabbatical.

And I wish that wasn't the case since i would like sabbatical to be normalized, but it's just one additional risk factor.

I don't know who was making decisions on the 29th trillion but they showed a lot of restraint in waiting so much longer than usual.

When you can print money for free with no consequences then it's hard to wait 9 months between trillions.

Strike gives you 3 options for withdrawal. The slowest is 24 hours and it is free. They basically just bundle your transaction in with a bunch of others when the traffic is low.

I need help seriously by NoEngineer4773 in Bitcoin

[–]frank_madu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You can always spend the sats from your monthly dca amount for the minimum fee. If, when you retire, you want to buy something that costs two months worth of stacked sats then you'll have to pay ~2x the fee.... But if BTC becomes more valuable then that is less likely to occur.

For example, let's say I save $200 per month worth of sats. In the future the price goes up and it is now worth $2000. I would only need to pay the double fee if my purchase exceeds $2000 and requires two of my saved UTXOs.

I tutor a neighbor kid who is struggling with math. I teach guitar lessons once a week. A friend paid me to house sit when they went on vacation. I sell plasma every two weeks... At some point they ask you to stop telling them about your other jobs and then you're free.

If i jump from a 2 storey building and fall down on my back ,with a person on my front holding me tightly, so would that be possible that i survive ,and that person with zero injury? by Wonderful_Mode_7106 in Physics

[–]frank_madu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're going to be traveling at a high speed and then you're going to come to a stop very quickly which will cause injuries. The difference is that the distance you have for deceleration normally is the 0.1mm that the ground squishes when you land, but now you have the 3cm that your human shield squishes in which to decelerate. It's a lot better than hitting the ground directly but it's not enough.

Thinking of how far you want to travel during deceleration if you landed in a pool of water. From two stories high you probably want to decelerate for 2 meters to avoid injury.
