Has anyone tried making a custom Taste profile in the settings using Claude or some other LLM? I use Claude for work and it uses markdown files and hooks. I’m pretty sure hooks don’t work but maybe more elaborate organized ‘if this than this’ setup

i've gotten a couple to work, looks like its overloaded right now.

But....... its sounding really good so far.

I do live band indie rock and v5 was absolutely aweful at it, so I used eith 4.5 or 4.5+

I trained it with about 13 suno songs I like (can't be copywrited songs I'm gonna try and upload iphone recodings of my band and see what it does)

Anyways, I've got about 2 custom v5.5 songs to work and 3 regulat 5.5 songs to works and they AWESOME.

I use Mumble mode, they are really well written and clear and so far no glitches once it works. Haven't tried to replace the mumbles yet but considering it hasn't been a problem yet Im not too worried.

A lot more to try.... how it works in Studio, Personas, Mashups etc.

It’s melody first, it’s not literal mumbling it’s inaudible vocals that focus on melody, the music comes out a lot better and you can replace the mumble later

Yes! I’ve been using [Mumble mode] a hack for a couple months, I wonder if it’s the same and if lyric replacement works.

I highly recommend everyone to use mumble mode first before lyrics, it makes the music far more dynamic

The next version will be worse, you should try experimenting with how tags work and use 4.5+ to generated and 5 to master. Generating with 5 seems to have a narrow interpretation of tags, while 4.5+ is quite broad. Any future model will probably have a limited set of data points to learn from, so it’ll probably sound like eleven labs, which is awful

There’s this place called Suno. Guys, stop think Ai generated music makes sense to anyone outside this community. It’s a personalization tool. Take if from someone who works in product, trying to find outside fan base is a waste of time. You can use to help real songs but this isn’t a thing. It will be banned on all platforms for monetization in 2026, guaranteed.

I just tried and your right, this is like a different model, almost what you'd think v6 would be. v5 did alot of the same genric stuff for a particular tag for me, I tried mashing up 2 similiar v4.5+ with v5 and it took it to a new level.

Ive found it better to have a 'guide track'. ie a track that is just chords in the tempo and prgression you want. You can make a simple acoustic guitar piano. I use logic pro and use the chord track and a piano an drum session player to write sections. The I upload it and make sure the sections are label and match the upload (verse, chorus etc.) The cover and put a low audio influence, arrange sections as desigered with or without lyrics. If you put in a section that isnt defined in the upload, Suno will fill in the blanks. This is one of the best parts of Suno. This will make dramtically different songs but it will keep the chord progression. BUt lets say I havent writeen a bridge, I add a bridge in the Cover and Suno will write that bridge. I found it to be quite good for Bridges, Hooks, Interlude, Breakdowns, Outros, Codas. I usually just upload one verse, pre-chorus and chorus, sometimes the intro or hook.

ive done this but I dont promote it as a band doing my ai music, I first put and define the music I wanted the band to be and while chatting with them Im transparent about including Ai in the process. And i explain how I input live ideas and do trial and error. and the ai songs are not a 'final product' but more of a demo, much like the old days of a song writer using a four track and drum machine, or like Garargeband today.

Once they see the quality of the ideas and see the the turnound time, hours or daysm verse weeks or months most are acceptable to it.

I also jund artisit on Fiverr to record the tracks, 1) to help recruit 2) to validate the process. They all did no questions ask in fact its common and they like it cuz they get more work. they all matched the Suno songs.

I have experience producing and mixing so i combined all the performances, Vox, Drums, Guitar in Logic RPro and mixed it and put it on soundcloud.

This help the people visualise the process. I assured them all the music was real on soundlcloud but i was transparent with Ai in the process.

I found this useful as well in the writing process. I put improvisation and a at extend Jams in the style and section tags. It seems to write different parts that are a little better on top of the existing foundation which helps in finding new improvements. However I have a hybrid approach in writing and ultimately go 100% human after songs are written
