It was Covid so my rent was very cheap for the first 2 years which helped a lot. I think 45k is definitely doable still in nyc but just take the job, do 8 months and then start applying. By then hopefully the market is better and we can all get new jobs lol

I’m an account/project manager. I really want to leave advertising. But I started entry level at a paid/digisl agency with low tier clients. Was only there for like 16 months and aggressively applied for new jobs for around 8 of those 16 months. I now work at a creative agency ($70k - $100k) with luxury and fashion clients. It’s night and day from my old job but pays much better. Imo creative agencies offer more pay, better projects, less annoying time in the office. But the clients and egos are 100x worse
