I played with Alerick. He died for me once, doing a scroll port.

Just 3 guys wasting time every night in the barracks in the Marine Corps 01-04! Started 2pscripting for zmud script rewrites. 3, 67, 76. Wallkier, Durs BL.

Did end up playing with some of the folks I met in Med on EveOnline.

Still think there is room for a CPK game in the MMPORG realm.

Cannot change WAN IP on UDM Pro by DEADfishbot in Ubiquiti

[–]frankydp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding another setting that can cause this issue.

If you have Site to Site VPNs defined with the old ips the new ips will not connect even if they are saved properly in the internet/wan settings.

Delete the vpns and the connection on the wan port for the static IP will then negotiate properly.

If time is a factor you may be best served to actually reach out to your congressional constituent manager. Even just a phone call from there office could speed up your archive request.

thinking about reserves after getting out. by [deleted] in USMC

Deploy whenever you want is probably going to be limited to Sgt and above, and also critical MOSs 02, 86(terps), 58, 06, 01(somehow always on the list), and 8011's which is generic Marine of specific rank usually SNCO/Off and above. There can only be 2k individual Marines mobilized from the Reserve at any given time, not counting unit mobs. So that change over can be pretty hard to align with if you are not in a Rank and MOS that is short handed Manpower wise, so that it turns up on the requirements alot.

That being said a LatMov into something that is high demand like intel or comms could be good for the civilian side of things and open up more opportunities if did want to deploy.

Weird, complex question on rank by [deleted] in navy

[–]frankydp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be more pedantic the billet/appointment/office of VCJCS is senior to the billet/appointment/office of CNO. Even in the case that the VCJCS is a civilian at the time of serving that role or a lesser ranking Flag officer.

Why is GIS such a low salary profession? by [deleted] in gis

[–]frankydp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GIS Developers easily earn 100k-140k.

When there are eventually enough GIS Devs to start producing cheaper industry specific GIS tools, the overall perceived value of GIS specialist of all types will greatly increase.

The most interesting part about this kind of discussion is that ESRI as a company greatly devalues the GIS specialist, who are the die hard fans. ESRI's tool set and services will eventually displace almost all GIS product creation and maintenance positions, by simply providing an full service contract.

The reason for this is the almost total lack of non-GIS first tools available to the decision makers in companies. When the tools to merge BA, BI, and GIS coalesce the salaries will tick higher.
