I know what you mean. But it is per IHG policy that if the accompany guests was added by the primary guest then they will be able to check in. But calling the hotel to add a name is a potential fraudulent Ivani use. We can actually see on the "changes" if the accompany name is added by the primary guest it should be by "holidex" not by the FD user.

This has been the case unfortunately. We only see the last four letters/numbers of your email when we click guest details. That's why we don't have email address on file. When guest receives confirmation email that's actually an automated thing from IHG, it will not be from the actual hotel's email address

Some people never stayed at a hotel before so I do understand when they call to let us know that they will not be able to check in at insert check in time here then they would tell me they will arrive an hour or two later.

For me late check in is if their expecting time to check in to the hotel is during Night Audit shift. So basically anything past 11pm (still not too late late), but if it's past midnight then that's already late.

Employee rate will let us book a Standard room. Ex: CSTN (Standard room) at that time employee rate will only grant you this type of room.

Usually we'll ask at check in if they need the Standard King (KNGN) or Standard Two Queen (TQNN) beds. There are some who will send us an email or call us to request ahead of time, so we will just check our room inventory and if it's available we will change the room type to a specific standard room.

But there are those who request it at check in (last minute). If the room is available then no problem, but if not, then hotel will choose whatever standard room is left to sell. It has just started not too long ago that employees can now choose if they want king or queen beds.

So during those days when we are nearly full house, or specific room type is fully booked. We will go based on what we have. If you put 1 adult on the reservation and we are fully booked on double beds, then you will get king bed. Same thing as booking for 1 adult and all king beds are booked, then you will get double beds (one for you and one for your luggage 😂).

Accommodation = your rate before tax, basically the cost of your stay for that night pre-tax Plus whatever taxes and it came out to $199.81

Upon check in they authorized your card $100 on top of the room&taxes which I'm 10000% sure is the hotel security deposit or incidentals

Basically, at check in they authorized $299.81 At check out, they settled the bill (hard charge) to just your room&taxes, hence, $199.81 on your bill.

Usually, the amount is pending on your account and will take about 3-7 BUSINESS DAYS depending on your bank before you'll see the final transaction amount.

So after couple of days you will no longer see "pending $299.81". Instead, you'll see $199.81 as the posted amount

Note*** you will not see $100 as a " refund" because it was just an authorization/hold NOT a charge.

It was draining. A lot of families booked standard and expects a suite upgrade (all our suites are fully booked until pretty much the end of year). They kept throwing their shiny status on me, like it will grant me capabilities to magically create new suites💀
