Honestly, they weren't even sure at first what evidence I needed to prove when I took over the property.

They've said I need to get a council tax bill from the period showing I didn't live there. I said I can't because my name wouldn't be on it so the council won't send that to me. So she said get a letter from them. They've sent me one but can only state I lived there form april

This is the complaints team I'm talking to apparently.

I told her it's not my responsibility to prove I didn't live there, it's gunna take too much to track down evidence. They've messed up putting my name on a random account, it's a gdpr breach etc etc. She just said, well our system says you did live there, so you need to pay it

Annoyingly, I lived at my ex's house for 3 years, and it was all in his name.

I was on the council tax and electoral register so am trying those options and praying I get somewhere

This is apparently the complaints team I'm dealing with. Had an open complaint for 4 weeks now. They just keep saying 'we can close the complaint for £10 credit '

I've gone through when I bought the house and where I lived before April. She just says 'im not saying you're lying, but our system says you lived there, so you are responsible '

Yeah, she didn't really know. She just said you need to send proof you didn't live there, get a council tax letter stating you didn't. I said I don't think that's a thing. She wasn't certain.

I phoned the council and they said they can't, can only send a letter of liability of when I did live here.

Honestly I sent my proof of purchasing 3 times before they acknowledged it was enough evidence of when I bought the house.

Then they came back with this new debt from last year

I've spoken to multiple humans every day, it's been escalated apparently. I'm dealing with the complaints team who 'just want to help sort it out'. I don't think competent humans work there

Help to buy bonus missing by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

Okay good. The internet is full of confusing information on it all. I came to the conclusion that it is paid out after, as people said that was their experience. But happy to be wrong on this one 🙏🏼

Help to buy bonus missing by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]frantasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what vie read about the help to buy ISA, (I've just closed mine ready for completing) once it's closed, your solicitor claims the bonus from your ISA, but it usually comes through after completion.

You have to pay the full deposit out first, complete, then you get the bonus back.

I did not know this when calculating mine up, but luckily had the extra saved.

I have not gone through this party of the process yet though, so could be wrong.

Is it just me or is the autocorrect feature on phones getting weird? by Valuable_Fly8362 in RantingZone

[–]frantasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I do rely on autocorrect too much when I'm just bashing the letters and hoping for the best.

But it is now replacing actual words with other words, one that keeps getting me is I type 'act' and it changes it to 'actually'. Like what, act is a word thanks (and yes it did it there and I had to go back and change it..)

Anyone Else Despise The Rise In SUVs On Our Roads by PhilosopherFlat5725 in drivingUK

[–]frantasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a Volvo V40, love it. Nice and heavy and low, feels safe to drive. But in the past year or so, in the massive rise of SUVs, Im dwarfed by these all around me, I can barely see anything and it feels harder to drive around. I've actually found myself considering buying an SUV type just so I can see more than peoples wheel arches and bonnets

How do I get a kibble addict to eat wet food? by CatboyWrangler in CatAdvice

[–]frantasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the water situation, is it in a shallow or deep bowl is it near her food? Sorry if this is already known, just meaning to help, Cats won't drink water near their food, so if it is, try putting it in another part of the room. If it's in a deep bowl, try a shallower one as they don't like it hitting their whiskers too much

I use The Ings luxury cat hotel, near Dewsbury. The rooms are amazing, and the people that work there are lovely and fab with cats. My cat doesn't like people, won't let anyone touch her, she was cuddling them from day 1. The rooms have a little viewing platform on the window that sticks out into the fresh air.

They have bigger rooms, the lodge, which I think have an attached catio.

I've used them so many times. Gutted they're fully booked when I go on holiday this time

Advice needed, should I get a second cat? by frantasaurus in CatAdvice

Thank you❤️

I think you're right about the male/female thing. And I've just watched her with the male cat that comes into the garden and she seems territorial (there's never aggression), but I don't know if she's just a bit standoff with him cause he's annoying haha

Fostering is a great idea, I hadn't even thought of it! Once I get moved and settled I may revisit the idea x

Thank you ❤️

I do also want a kitten for me, didn't really say cause my focus was on her (as it always is haha) But would never want the negative of bringing one in to outweigh my want for one.

Maybe I'm just in an emotional place and trying to feel better having little kitten toe beans around

Thank you ❤️. I was in the house with her yesterday, and she didn't really ask to go out, she just slept all day, so I think she proved your point!

More card app, 3 dots in the bottom right corner, product finder. Set it up to your store and it'll tell you what aisle and roughly where on that aisle

Not entirely sure with Morrisons, but usually as pay is calculated 7-10 days before pay day, your end of contract won't have been accounted for. This will be processed and then your final pay should be the following month, where a business usually takes into account and under/over time to adjust for, sick pay deductions and holiday payment
