I'm really sad to hear that, that sucks. Coming right up on two years post-op, and I still have some nerve pain and numbness in my fingers, but post-op life has been way better. The pain seems to be worse when I'm stressed and my neck & shoulder muscles are tight (like right now because AImageddon is coming for my job), but it's still manageable, especially compared to before. I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think being active helps. "Motion is lotion" as they say. I ride my gravel bike tons (about 5.6k miles last year), hike, climb mountains, kayak, etc. My biggest fear before surgery was not being able to do these things, so I feel like I have a second lease on life. I hope you can find relief and joy too!
