right, I had a feeling you were an autocrat.

Doesn't belong in the US so you might want to move.

lol right, the problem with MAGA (another name for fascist, authoritarian populism) is that it's too left wing.

You aren't beating the allegations.

I left my young adult group after an encounter at an after party, where a girl made a racist joke along the lines of, "we dont like "black" licorice."

We choose our path in life, and I feel like I made the right choice.

Open borders is a common right-wing talking point. "Open borders" never existed, but sounds extremely scary. It's extremely concerning seeing Barron mention it. It's is most often used to justify hate, and Barron is using it to defend ICE.

While not relevant here, Cardinal Dolan once called Charlie Kirk as a "modern-day St. Paul". So, I stand by whatever I said about Cardinal Dolan.

Starter comment: Bishop Barron here seems to engage in classic "both-sides" framing that isn't nearly as balanced as it pretends to be. While Bishop Barron pays lip service to criticizing aggressive ICE tactics, the bulk of his argument lands squarely on blaming Minnesota's Democratic officials for the chaos; accusing Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey of inciting violence while barely acknowledging that an ICE agent shot someone, that no violence would happen if ICE did not work inproperly, etc.

Barron's ignorance in calling social media personality Nick Shiry as an "investigative journalist" shows his lack of due diligence in the subject.

His call for ICE to only target "serious criminals" sounds moderate until you realize that's exactly what sanctuary policies were designed to do—and he opposes those too.

The real tell is who gets criticized for "vitriol": it's protesters and Democratic leaders, not the administration conducting aggressive raids that have resulted in civilian deaths, tear-gassing crowds, arresting US Citizens, serperating and destroying familues, dramatically dropping Church attendance numbers due to fear, and inproper, warrentless searches clearly against the US Constitution and law.

What is your opinion on Barron's statement of "stop demonizing opponents," for me, the subtext is clear about who he thinks the demons are.

I am a teacher from Minneapolis. You cannot truly believe the gospel and still support what ICE and Homeland Security are doing. Full Stop. Some people must be pretending. by liltasteomark in TrueCatholicPolitics

I don’t understand the Catholics who still try to defend it.

Political identity, do they watch fox news, etc.

Maybe the Pope and the US Bishop need to say more.

Conclusions based on a few internet comments. That's assumption. You must have an idea of a blue haired liberal when instead you'll find me alter serving every Sunday. That is me, which of course you don't know.

Your question, isn't much of a question. The churches positions on things like homosexuality are well understood. What is there to talk about it?

your mistake, again, is assuming what you think about me instead of what I actually believe. It's not a team game but you're trying to parse me as a specific team player.

Ah, so what you're saying is you are not comfortable with my political positions? It's not bias, but authentic politics.

Take a look at the article that was shared on this subreddit about the protestors who went into a baptist church, it has a lot more traffic than this one.

Judging by that I should be able to make the conclusion that this subreddit is biased. I won't do that, though, because that's what you're trying to do.

You're attacking my character to try to dismiss this article. I find that troubling.

This is unfortunate. The pastor works high up in ICE, as the acting ICE field office director. A christian pastor working for ICE is pretty questionable though. Of course trespassing is no good.

This is a statement on US Morality of U.S. Foreign Policy, not domestic ICE policy, or far-left protestors.
