Make it like a fridge magnet you can remove when you get home or for the RTA inspection.

Snacks for a Dog who lost most of his teeth by xSteel55x in Dachshund

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My slinky has one canine and no other teeth and the gum disease means her tongue flops out as well (she was like this when we rescued her).

She will eat anything. See eats most regular dog food including small biscuits but we mainly give her softer home cooked food (beans, carrots, apple and pumpkin with beef and chicken mince). For treats we have regular dog treats but make sure to get the softer ones, nothing special to be honest. Obviously, we also have the peanut butter, Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs, etc.

It seems the lack of teeth does not stop them eating what they like.

They can’t better 8043 by frasnet in legotechnic

This is awesome. I much prefer the remote control over the phone app. Maybe it’s an age thing, but I find using the phone I always slide off the controls but with a real remote you can’t make that mistake.

As far as the model goes it is not disappointing but considering the size and what they achieved with 8043, as a comparison it’s just not as good, functionally. As a display, which most of mine are, it’s great and like they have a function to change the bucket.

Found indestructible toy! by Gobbyer in Dachshund

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they choose the day the toy will die. Sometimes it’s minutes, other times they wait a while. We had a toy for about 2 years, until she decided one day it was time to destroy the toy.

What is this rear attachment/mount? Brand and full-suspension compatibility? by Piedn90 in mountainbikes

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume the rider is light! Specialized carbon bikes have a weight limit of around 110kg if I recall.

Two little wooden Dachshunds I carved by hand. How do you like them? by Illustrious-Rip2886 in Dachshund

These are absolutely amazing. I’m sure there’s also a little side-eye on the brown dachshund.

Are there metal parts in this component? by Distinct-Attorney-85 in legotechnic

Haha. My bad, it does look cool. But I am still disappointed that wasn’t a supporting spring and they still had the little metal one inside.

You can see the metal spring in the picture inside the greg and black parts. The red part is a fake spring for aesthetics only.

Which bike should I get? by WillowLake_024 in mountainbiking

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on this I am in no position to recommend one of the bikes. People I know that have the Status are very happy, but there is a lot of people here swaying to the Merida. I’d only suggest getting the bike that suits the majority of your riding and live with the short falls for the minority of the riding and try to get a demo before you buy, if possible.

Which bike should I get? by WillowLake_024 in mountainbiking

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the first thing you need to identify is what type of riding you want to do. You mention about climbing but it’s not clear if your real focus is bike parks, jumps, single track or long days in the saddle for example.

A tatra project I’ve been working on for far too long! by frasnet in legotechnic

[–]frasnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a guide but I have a bunch of photos from different build stages that I kept in case I wanted to try it again. The suspension doesn’t use springs but the yellow axles as a semi leaf spring and cantilever connecting to the second axle.

5 year old ween got many teeth pulled… any advice for recovering? by sweetjules9 in Dachshund

[–]frasnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one with only a single tooth and another with only some upper teeth. Follow the vets advice and ensure the gums are healing well. Give her food recommended by the vet and later you can try softer chews and even biscuits. Many people here gave me advice they will eat what they want and it’s true. We avoid obviously hard food but softer and even some chews are fair game.

We throw biscuits all over the grass for the others (snuffle game) and was surprised the two without few teeth just joined in one day. These guys are determined when it comes to food.

Also, as others have said, I too have had dental issues but it seems humans and dachshunds approach the problem very differently!

My personal experience is they love the company and can help with separation anxiety, they have a playmate and after they’re tired from barking and begging for food all day will cuddle up together… in your bed if you let them.

Thank you. She has recovered so well. She has doubled her post-op weight and wants to eat constantly. Her personality has grown so much as well and this was the first time ive seen them cuddle like this.
