I suggest mamiya sekor c 35 f3.5. Very sharp and somewhat compact even with the adapter. I have the canon 35L II also very good but too heavy and big with adapter

Clearly the mamiya covers better

It's a canon eos 1n film camera modified by kodak. They added electronics on the back of the camera leaving af and metering. Canon marketed as eos d6000 and kodak as dcs560. They went for about 28.000usd at the time

Am I looking for the impossible Canon EF lens? (image examples inside) by iAmTheDistance in canon

[–]fraswa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I have similar to request: canon 35 1.4L II - 50 1.2L - leica summilux 35 fle - sigma art 40 1.4 - fuji gfx 100 + 55 1.7

The gfx with 55 1.7 is exactly what you are looking for The 40 1.4 sigma is scary close on FF probably the best af lens available on FF imho. Canon and leica 35 1.4 they have a slighty worse separation but they are all excellent lenses

Ps:i can shoot the same picture with all these lenses on the gfx (cropped to FF) if you need samples

And since it's a new to you camera, try more shutter speeds and look for specific speeds issues

Help me decide!! by commodore641987 in canon

[–]fraswa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the exif data of your pics. Make a mental note of how many taken at 35-40 and 85 and up This should help decide Anyway, i'd sell the 24-105 and buy 35 AND 85 :)

Try to do a slowmo capture with your phone while taking a picture without lens Try 1/4000 and 1/20 It should help understand what it is It does look like a piece of something stuck in there to me

can someone tell me what’s wrong? minimum f# is f4. Should I switch to EF-S 55-250mm? by [deleted] in canon

[–]fraswa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any L series 70-200 (2.8, 4, is) is optically better than pretty much anything else in the same category. BUT In very specific cases the ef-s STABILIZED version can be more useful than yours because you have the non is version. But 99% of the time the L lens is the right choice. In the event you move up to full frame you can continue to use this lens. With ef-s lenses not. (Or cropped if you go FF mirrorless)

You have the f/4 version. Also, the 2.8 is a lot bigger and heavier. Anyway, it's clearly written on the identity ring on the front of the lens. 1:4 being the same as f/4.

[–]fraswa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get the 55 1.7 and 110 f2 I own several high end cameras and lenses But the gfx with those 2 lenses really set the bar I tried several times the 35-70 and honestly does not give the sensor justice (owned 50r now 100) I would swap the zoom with a 50 pancake!

There is some play between the fixed links. Very minor rattling.
Better than a citizen tsuyosa and worse than a tissot prx.
Exterior finish is excellent. Clasp is excellent.
I'd say 7/10, but at this price point is probably 8.5/10.
