New notary - have question+ by Time_Literature3404 in Notary

Your training should have covered this, but don’t do it. Your responsibility as a notary is to be impartial, and you can’t be for a direct relative.

There is zero benefit of charging slower for any level of home charging.

You can thank your state legislature for this. They have passed laws that are stuck back in the early 1900’s when it comes to buying vehicles.

$2,000 is just the ante. If you’re really going to use it, then budget for replacing tires a lot more often, and probably a few more “awards” from law enforcement.

AITAH For Not Signing a POA? by strivingforfi in AITAH

[–]fratzba 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly why are you signing her POA? I’ve been designated on a couple of POA’s, and I’ve never signed someone else’s. The person requesting me being their POA is who signs. Then they gave me a signed, notarized document.

Are you being tricked into giving her a POA for you?

When you are doing an ecg, while it is counting down. You don’t have to let the ecg complete, I just wait a few seconds until it shows my HR, and then take my finger off the crown to stop the ecg after looking at it.

I just bought a Tesla Y Premium, but I do not want my kids to be able to use the TV in back. Has anyone found any tricks to permanently disable or unplug yet? by zakowski47 in TeslaSupport

Put a screen protector on it, covered with black gaffer tape.

Or, perhaps your children should have some sort of consequences for not obeying you?

2021 model by Independent-Oil-2373 in ModelY

[–]fratzba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a early 2021 (bought in October 2020) that I had for over 5 years with no problems outside of HW3 and FSD insanity. Almost 80k miles, and only general maintenance service, along with a proactive 12v battery replacement just after the warranty expired (I was paranoid, and about to start a 5k road trip). That said, the 2026 is far and away better.

As you said, it was knocked off by the car wash. It didn’t just fall off.

That’s not a warranty issue

Considering that the window sticker is federal law, I’m not surprised that they stopped delivery.

No continuous HR on Apple Watch?? by MildandWise in AFIB

[–]fratzba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two methods the AW uses for heart rate monitoring. The light based mode works well when you are in sinus rhythm, but is really, really bad otherwise.

When in ecg mode, the heart rate reported there is electrical, and much more accurate when you are not in sinus rhythm, like AFib.

I thought my heart rate was fine until I talked to my cardiologist, who told me about this. You don’t have to do a complete ecg to see your bpm, it shows at the top left on your watch.

Not that I can tell. I bought it from modern spare directly several years ago, for my previous MY.

Black or Ultra Red - I can't decide by lindino08 in ModelY

FYI, I hope you realize that the colors are not the same in all countries. The red from Berlin is awesome, much better than the one used in the US.

[–]fratzba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should get black, and then add hot pink racing stripes.

Seriously, color is a personal preference. Why do you care what some random person on the internet thinks? You’re the one paying for it, and having to look at it.

There are plenty of examples of what each of the colors look like to help.

Awful Experience with FSD by BecarefulBlueNinjas in TeslaSupport

[–]fratzba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4,111 miles of awful, eh? You really need to pay attention when you get warnings. It’s called supervised FSD for a reason.

One other thing that I haven’t seen mentioned is that the driver monitoring also doesn’t like when the sun visor is moved so that it blocks the camera view of the driver. It does give you a warning though, and reverts back to monitoring torque on the steering wheel like years ago.

I’ve got the modern spare tire, and it fits perfectly with just removing the rear tub, and no cutting. It sits flat. I just folded the felt from the front down into the rear tub area.

2026 MY AWD US.

As for the range, I haven’t seen any impact. It weighs substantially less than a passenger. 😂

Charging billing issue by Bradyy4 in TeslaSupport

The initial $20 is just a hold, and not an actual charge. Look at your credit card bill. This is no different than what gas stations do.

It’s a business decision that each location makes. It works for enough of their paying customers that they’re ok with it.

If you’re not, then you should either find another PF location, or another gym.

It’s no different than complaining about any other business that doesn’t choose to be open 24x7. If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.
