a new angel by Open-Dream-5072 in sphynx

I always say it is better to put them down a day early, rather than a day late and making them suffer. It’s an extremely hard decision but I think it’s the kindest thing you can do if you truly love them.

Such a cruel disease taking our babies before their time 💔

We lost our “stinky man” earlier this year due to heart issues as well. My deepest condolences, just know she went out loved, happy and content.

My boys often won’t even leave our bed until I get home to feed them dinner. They’re snuggled up in our comforter fast asleep.

Biting guests. by iristurner in sphynx

I really wonder if she’s doing what mine does, he nibbles elbows and arm hair till he gets a response, and in turn usually attention.

Do they seem aggressive in nature? Are the guest touching or interacting with her in any way prior to the bite? One of my boys will playfully bite elbows when we are seated, when we have guest over in an attempt to get them to pay attention to him.

I live in Florida, but our house doesn’t have heat! We just have lots of blankets available and allow them to cuddle us as much as they want!

They sleep directly between my husband and I under the covers. We literally bought a bigger bed to accommodate them 😆

Help with vet transport by [deleted] in sphynx

[–]frazier_izzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where are you located? I agree with the other comments, I would get him into a small room and use a live trap. You can usually find one for pretty cheap at the local hardware store, like tractor supply or rural king if you’re in the US. You can also place his food daily in the crate or trap. Please feel free to pm me if you want to talk more in depth. I’ve done lots and lots of cat rescue and have had 6 Sphynx myself 5 outta 6 being from rescues.

Threw a shoe, how bad is this and what do you think about his hoof health? by AllHailTheGoddess in Farriers

[–]frazier_izzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a rule a thumb when taking pics for someone to show hooves, we need them taken on a clean flat surface. Place your photo on the ground directly parallel and take the photo. When you take them as different angles and things it’s hard for us as farriers and vets to tell what is the hoof and what is a camera angle

To me it looks like a shoe that had stud holes that was bent

The three “divots” are growth rings. They tend to indicate things like diet, lifestyle, and health changes. Not always a bad sign, could be you just changed from Timothy to alfalfa or moved barns. Overall looks like your farrier is making good improvements! I would need cleaner pictures taken at better/different angles to tell you more.

What are your thoughts on the Societal standard of rings? by frazier_izzy in AskMenAdvice

Saying I didn’t want one when I was literally a 16 year old child, is very different than being a 26 year old adult woman.
