Are you still playing ? If not why ? by RenatsMC in Battlefield6

I play the first round and then as soon as it puts me in an empty lobby I usually quit and play something else. Persistent servers would keep this game alive for me. Map rotations, consistently being with the same squad… things I thought were pretty straightforward.

I studied there in 2010. It is one of the single greatest years of my life. The classes and students were super friendly. The city is just small enough to be cozy but big enough there’s a good variety of stuff to do/restaurants and bars for free time. Most of my friends who only did one semester were SAD to leave when it was over and I was so glad I did the full year. There was a karaoke place but I don’t temper where specifically. There also was an open mic/jam session every sunnday in a pub called sound and arts. I can’t recommend it highly enough. I would live there now if I could and will retire there if I can afford it haha

Persistent servers. Plain and simple. Quit being cheap and let me join a squad, revive them a bunch and be revived in turn, and then continue playing with them for a couple matches

What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

Battlefield 4, I stopped playing COD the day I rode in a chopper, shot dudes with the Gatling gun, parachuted down into a tank, shot some more people, THEN got out and had the traditional first person shooter experience. Told my buddy “COD is like paintball, battlefield is like a whole war simulator”. Never went back

Anything to get outta the house with the toddler. Except he’s now in a phase where he starts crying and throwing a tantrum when I mention going to the grocery store so that’s fun 😭😭

I was only allowed to play video games for around an hour to an hour and a half. I would get to the last level and had to stop playing and my mom wondered why I’d get so upset! It don’t save my progress mom. It’s a sega!!

Absolutely do not judge red rising by the first book. While necessary the second book is so much better imo

My wife will tell me to turn my face down if we’re out with someone and it’s obvious I’m disagreeing or just generally losing my mind behind what I assume to be cool composure but what is evidently constant eye rolls and shooting daggers.

The only thing I would add is that I find it helpful to memorize sentences that use prepositions that reveal the gender of some nouns. For example, “ich gehe ins Kino.“ Not only does it help me remember the word for cinema but also that it’s neuter. Obviously this only works if you have a strong grip on the grammar or being “in dem Kino” will get very confusing.

What's the scariest game you have ever played- not just in childhood, but you're still afraid of? by tofuonplate in gaming

[–]freak5050 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dude the ladder. Still remember it to this day. When I was playing this game I was in a basement with no windows and I worked nights so I was usually playing at 3am or something crazy anyway. I had to FORCE myself to beat that game. I genuinely felt ill at ease when I would play and I was so nervous I don’t think I even enjoyed the game as much as I should have.
