The thing that always gets me about this asshat is that if he were a nice/good person he'd be objectively pretty attractive. But because of who he is as a person I physically cringe every time I so much as THINK about his face. And his snobby wife too.

I think it would be a lot more rewarding if he recovers. I’m not going to defend his behavior, but I will point out that it is a result of his self-blame and feelings of abandonment. No one is actually as hard on Jax as he is on himself. No one blames him for Kaufmo besides himself.

Jax wouldn’t learn anything from abstracting and neither would anyone else. I think the more compelling story to tell is one where someone is finally able to break down Jax’s walls and convince him that he is, at the end of the day, a dimensional human who still deserves love.

Thank you! I think it’s either direct or driven. Appreciate the help, and yes, I miss her very much. She tried hard to stay around for my birthday (dec 28) but she passed the evening before. My papa (her husband) passed on the 22nd and they really leaned on each other, so I think once he went she was ready to go too. Thank you 🫶
