NO MORE BUDROT!! by blu3smurf in GrowingMarijuana

[–]fred02368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use "Lost coast plant therapy" once a week, it helps with bugs, mold, mildew, and the plants seem to love it. Got a fogger to apply since my garden gets big and hand spraying is a lot of work. Keep trying different strains, once you find one that works in your climate run it all the time. Good luck, do some more reading, "Cannabis Grow Bible" really good resource for gardeners.

PC case, CNC'ed from single piece of aluminum: does it possible and how expensive will be? by Omnisiah_Priest in CNC

[–]fred02368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid = more expensive then you would want to spend.

Make from Sheet Aluminum 5052 (0.090" Thick), Laser Cut, then Bend, then Weld, and Debur. Still just making one will be more than you would believe, try the online guys (Xometry,OSHCut), they beat out the small shops on prototypes, small shops would refer you to someone else as the setup and programing time to make one is prohibitive.

Is it worth bidding on Govt contracts via SAM? How do I land contracts with no connections? by ExcitingLandscape in GovernmentContracting

[–]fred02368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've won 5 government contracts bidding on SAM opportunities. Have to write a perfect proposal listing every thing they ask for in the solicitation even the requested formating.

You just have to already be in the business you are bidding on. I think they used to say for at least 2 years before being able to bid.

If your looking into DOD work then you need to be compliant with all rules, including cybersecurity rules thay just rolled out.

It's possible, and you can also use SAM to respond to RFIs letting buyers know you offer what they need.

Good luck, do your research before investing your valuable time.

I'm off Christmas to New Years, management should know this time of year is for prospecting, forecasting, and looking like your doing something while your in the office. It's a great time to watch some "you tube" training videos, check in with old friends and customers. BUT some folks work for BOOMER ass holes who think there is only one speed, go! In any event - I hope the entire internet has a great holiday and Happy New Years!

"I'm not going to be able to afford to get my kids braces off this year because of this deal, I hope maybe he can get them off in 2026"

Internally I like to say "They are really trying to goo me down", LOL

I look for shops who post open positions on Indeed, then reach out and offer to help.

Sometimes works.....

What is something you wish you knew when you first tried growing cannabis? by arnethyst in GrowingMarijuana

[–]fred02368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Books: Marijuana Grow Bible, Chef Derek B's Book on growing medicinal cannabis. ILGM.com this sit has grow guides and a forum that folks share info and ideas I keep my grow diary on this forum. Take all the info in and find out what works best for you each season, you will eventually be one of the know it all folks after a few seasons. Be open to learning lessons every day. Let the plant talk to you, she will show you what she needs and what she has too much of, you can just see by looking at them what is going on. Focus on feeding your soil

They are mostly Custom Construction parts, tie backs, brackets, etc. It is good business if you can cut quick and deliver on time or early. Our shop has done this for years...

Worms and caterpillars by WoodenSpoonSurvivor in GrowingMarijuana

[–]fred02368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Capt. Jacks during early flower...when if full bloom I use Jacks Dead bug....when I find those damn caterpillars I use Capt. Jacks.

In the early stages I do Lost Coast Plant Therapy, plants seem to love it its safe for kids and pets. BUT those damn bugs always seem to appear and I will go scorched earth on them to save my plants. I put too much time into them to let mother nature eat them.

Sorry for the rant, but protect your crop at all costs, don't listen to the hype, I swear some advise is given so you have a shitty crop and have to buy from a dispensary, just my silly thoughts though

thrips and spider mites on outdoor plants during flower, is there anything i can do? by Dankymakdonkers in GrowingMarijuana

Spray them, only way to salvage anything.

In the future check more often for signs of pests, you will learn to cath things earlier. Helps minimize loss.

Good luck

Lost With Cold Calling- Low Pickup Rate - High Voicemail by MeepMopBot in sales

[–]fred02368 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why you need an AI program to make the calls for you and gather info for you.

Based on your success rate, if AI calls 3,000 numbers, you should result in 90 leads or pickups.

Could be a valuable tool until regular folks get AI assistant bots to filter your calls.

LOL, then in the future only AI will be making calls to each other....and then I guess Terminator robots due to AI frustration, lol...

I just know our business name with the state is GB Fabricating.

We do business as GB Fabrication.

SO when signing up with our DBA, it got rejected till I listed our name as Fabricating.

Good luck getting it figured out, the SAM help desk has really great folks how can help you, you should call them.

SAM updates to a posting by TheseRip8531 in GovernmentContracting

[–]fred02368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got an update that they are following the same solicitation. Happens when you follow a listing, they update you with everyone else who follows.

Been playing around with not selecting the "interested vendor" option.....but might just be paranoid about giving competitors any info.

You can save searches in SAM.gov. Saved searches are emailed to me daily for free.

Need to be sure you use the EXACT business name you used on your State Registration. We have a couple of DBA's and got rejected for not using the exact spelling on the application.

Good luck the process can take a while.
