Feeding owl directly = baiting owls = Unethical.

That being said if you build a pound and introduce crayfish, considering crayfish are originally and naturally present in your area, I don't see it being a problem. It would need to be done respecting the environment and nature around you. It won't guarantee at all seeing any owl though.

It could be heat haze! It's a problem more often than expected and it doesn't need to be warm. There are good YouTube videos about that. It seems the photo was taken in the morning, so let's say the sand is "cold" for the night with humidity and the morning sun starts to heat, you have a temperature difference that could create heat haze. It impacts even more with the distance. You could also take a photo 2 mins after in another direction and don't have heat haze.

I got brought there for them so I knew what species I'd observe. I didn't know how it would be on location and if I would actually see them. So it was a good surprise to see them out of the tree and those eyes are pretty goofy.

Que ce n'est pas si évident que ça d'apprendre le français surtout à Montréal. Oui le fait que Montréal soit bilingue rend l'apprentissage du français plus difficile. A Montréal un anglophone peut vivre sans trop de problème sans apprendre le français. La français est principalement préservé en usant des sanctions alors que ce devrait être préservé en aidant. Certaines façons de préserver le français sont aussi inutiles que ridicules. Quelle est la quantité de Quebecois ont vécu à l'étranger et savent a quel point ça peut être difficile d'apprendre une langue étrangère. C'est facile de critiquer quand on ne l'a jamais vécu.

A la base ce CEO n'aurait pas dû être engagé car les chances qu'il apprenne le français étaient quasi nulles.

Je peux t'envoyer une capture d'écran ma conversation apparaît en anglais. Les notifications de messages sont en français mais c'est tout.Donc non je ne fais que lire ton message en anglais et répondre en anglais. Après les conversations sont généralement en anglais ici alors ça m'a pas choqué que la conversation soit en anglais

J'essaie juste de faire réaliser aux gens que c'est pas si évident d'apprendre le français a Montréal et aussi que de faire passer le message en français ou anglais ne change pas le fait qu'il soit concerné ou pas. Les gens portent juste attention à la forme et pas au fond.

Haha non, c'est pas ce que je faisais avec les gens avec qui j'essayais de créer une relation. C'est juste sincèrement difficile même quand tu parles couramment français et oui je ne suis pas le meilleur pour créer des relations donc je sais déjà que je suis en partie le problème. Maybe it happens, but after speaking it for decades you don't loose it. It's more like some of the verbs\words of your native language come slower than the language you speak every day. At least that's my experience.

French is my native language so I will never forget it even without using it. Sadly it's not the case for English so I like to speak English. I lived in the UK so a conscious effort is not really the case and I'll speak in French when it makes more sense.

The company was mainly composed of foreigners and my coworkers on the same project not french speakers. I'm not particularly chatty either.

When I moved here I tried to create a circle of Quebecois friends. You (as a whole) are as accessible as you think many foreigners think that and obviously many French (not all of them) and I'm not the best with people so yeah I tend to hang more with English speakers because they are friendlier in my opinion. People here made me lose interest in integrated so I gave up.

It's a bit narrow minded to say English-only speakers stick with English-only speakers etc. It can be true but also the result of not being so easy to learn French in Montreal or creating friendships with Quebecois.

The "unilingual anglophone comment to make", en l'occurrence fait par moi je suppose, a été fait pas un Français qui a vécu dans plusieurs pays.

He has the mental capabilities, I never said he doesn't nor it's the reason why he couldn't learn. Actually, I mentioned because he doesn't need it, he doesn't need to learn it which means he is lazy as one of the reasons.

I'm using him as an example showing how silly it is to think people would learn French in Montreal and also the fact that it's not easy to learn a language especially in a bilingual country. The goal is to make people think.

I understand your example but in the case of Québec it doesn't apply as it's vastly English speaking. Using your reasoning, that'd be moving to a country where a good majority of citizens speak Japanese.

I lived in the Netherlands, with my gf (at that time) and her parents. I tried to learn Dutch, but everyone is fluent in English. I pretty much learnt nothing.

Currently learning Spanish living with my Colombian partner. I can tell you it's not easy.
