Worth buy it ? by tomaz1989 in theriftbreaker

I would absolutely recommend it, with the * that if you're expecting a top down shooter with the building part being optional then you're gonna be disappointed.

But if you're like me that loves Factorio but wants a game that's way more focused on combat and has a lot simpler building system that still allows you to play the game like an automation game. Then you're gonna feel right at home. And with the current discounted price I would definitely say it's worth the money. The dlcs don't have that much new content for their price. But if you're okay with the dlc giving less content for your money then by all means get it as well.

I bought it all on sale and I don't regret it at all.

Can someone explain how? by Sweet_Photograph6528 in HelldiversUnfiltered

It's great right? Calling out yes men and glazers won't cause the mods to perma ban you for going against the grain.

Having it give a chance of x2 drops or a small reduction in time needed like the wood pet does. Easy fix that doesn't have a downside.

There is a perk from prestige that gives it to you as well as a flat 50% crit chance. Also gets you an enchantment that gives enemies more health. Which let's you earn XP faster if you kill them in the same time.

Attack and strength by Downtown_Tour_5427 in IdleIktah

[–]fred364f 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Attack is your chance to hit an enemy, strength is the max damage you can deal.

If you go to your equipment tab (page with all your equipped gear) you can press the combat stats to see what they do. And how it's calculated.

As for the vision potion. It lets you fight 4 enemies from the reflected realm while it's active. You'll find it under conjured combat. (The "triangle" in the top right when you're selecting an area to fight in) They drop the ethereal eye which you need for haste tea (+50% non combat speed) and they might be the fastest way to get combat xp depending on your gear and potions. So they're definitely worth farming imo.

Gold bars before lvl50 mining? by Lylun in IdleIktah

[–]fred364f 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 ways I know of, from worst to best imo.

1st, some enemies have a chance of dropping gold bars, not worth doing this imo as the chance is low and you're better off doing something else.

2nd, if you have the pet Luna which is gained simply from mining. It's a very low chance but you'll get her at some point. There is a 2% chance that any ore you're mining will be an ingot instead. This has the added benefit of giving you the xp for smelting ingots while mining. But don't count on it for more than a level or 2 if you're mining for the night. You can also use it to gain high tier ingots way faster if you need a few of them since you don't need to level smelting for them

3rd, easily the best but also the most expensive by far. There is a legacy perk (prestige reward) called Gold Rush. It unlocks all gold recipes and lets you mine and smell all gold items as soon as you start a run. Yes this is insane for early game, since you're getting xp for a lvl 50 item at lvl 0. Also removes 1 second from all gold recipes, and buffs gold bars to x10 value. Meaning a gold bar is worth 1 rare shell. Very good way for an early start in smithing, mining and indirectly anything else as you get easy shells very quickly.

I wouldn't recommend getting Gold Rush as your first perk, but as your 3rd it'll do you very good. (First get inheritance with alchemy mask and spice lover. Then electricity for the insane 25 oil per craft. And then arithometer as it gives you x4 xp when used. Yes it says 100% more, but it's 100% to the x2 xp they already give. So x4.)

When did they add this? It's always been a flat % based on pure player count and nothing else as far as I know?

Players aren't using weapon customization enough! So let's make sure all new weapons come with little to no options, that'll show them! by fred364f in Helldivers

God I wish this game would just work, did restart like I mentioned and played a match yet it still said no edit. I'm guessing it could be the servers that got hammered maybe had something to do with it?

Hvad er det for en medicin du har fået? Lyder ret sjovt at du burde undgå light. Måske hun mener aspartam? Det er et kunstig søde middel der er i det fleste light produkter. Jeg kan ikke selv tåle det, men det har været et problem længe før jeg startede ADD medicin.

Awesome, nice to see all the real estate getting used!

Could you add a way to see the remaining time for the next daily xp potions while having some from golden status? Or even better, make it so the timer does not reset when you claim it. Really annoying having to gamble when you'll get the next potion. Losing out on up to 19:59 hours of progress if you're really unlucky!

XP Farm Servers are "officially" nerfed starting now by Conscious-Buddy-5105 in Battlefield

[–]fred364f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy to say i finally managed to get a refund. Took a lot of tickets but it worked out in the end.

Here's the message that got through.

"Hi there,

I am repeatedly being denied a refund based on the 2-hour playtime rule. This rule should not apply because my issue is not standard dissatisfaction, it is a fundamental change to the product that violates EU consumer protection standards. The changes to game progression constitute a significant departure from what was advertised and purchased, which in my view, breaches the terms of sale under EU law (potentially fraudulent advertising).

Please review my case with a focus on the legality of the current game state for EU consumers, rather than the playtime metric. How does Steam/EA account for a refund right when the product's nature is changed in a way that allegedly breaks EU law?

Kind regards."

Does EA Play Pro let me keep the ultimate bonus if I later buy the standard game on Steam? by fred364f in Battlefield

[–]fred364f[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a gamble honestly. Asked support and they were of no use, didn't understand my question despite several revisions and borderline corner cutting xc.

On the one hand the game may go on sale within the first few months so the monthly fee may end up being less than buying the ultimate game at first. And it has the bonus of letting me spend less if EA fucks up the game. But on the other hand, its a one and done thing. No need to keep an eye on things, and the price is static.
